December Game Releases: Get Ready for the Holidays

Do you know what December game releases your going to buy in time for that long holiday break? NO?! That's alright, Gigamax has your back. It can be hard to keep up with all the intense holiday planning and latest video game news, that's why we've taken the liberty of curating the perfect list of December game releases. Whether you're buying them as presents or for yourself, this is everything you'll need to keep your eye on.

December Game Releases

Xenoblade Chronicles 2

The world of Alrest has never been less at rest! This latest installment of the Xenoblade series follows the adventure of Rex after he is magically bonded with the humanoid weapon, Pyra. This "blade" is one of the many sentient weapons our hero makes friends with along the journey. One of Nintendo's biggest releases this year, it is sure to please. If you enjoy JRPG's and hours of quests, definitely don't pass this title up.

Fallout 4 VR

Bethesda claims they don't want to set the world on fire, but one can argue this release will figuratively do that. Enter the wasteland in the most personal way available. This reskinned journey takes down the barrier and puts you in the shoes of the sole survivor. Fallout 4 VR is sure to please any fan of this incredible series but it isn't our fault if seeing a Deathclaw gives you an actual heart attack.

Playerunknown's Battlegrounds

It's finally time for console players to experience this gaming phenomenon! PUBG is making its way to the Xbox and opens up chicken dinners to a whole new community. This game started a revolution of "Battle Royale" simulators and its player base has literally not stopped growing since it came out. This game is the perfect addition to any fan of FPS or third person shooters list, but remember once you're on the battleground the only rule is survival... And a whole list of other nonsense.

Call of Duty: WWII (PS4, Xbox One, PC) - November 3rd

The next installment of the Call of Duty franchise hits stores on November 3rd and people can’t wait to get their hands on this classic rendition of the popular shooter. Call of Duty is a staple of the first person shooter genre but in recent years the developers (Sledgehammer Games, Treyarch, and Infinity Ward) have been fixated on future warfare. People were getting sick of this theme so Call of Duty brought it right back to their origins and are embracing the World War II experience once again.

Clear Your Weekend Plans: 10/27 Game Releases

Video Game Releases: Friday, October 27th, 2017

This Friday has a lot in store for gamers. A host of new games will be hitting the market all at once! This may be a problem for wallets around the world, but for those eager to start a new adventure, it's truly a treat. With such an incredible week of gaming, let's take a look at the highly anticipated titles releasing just in time for the weekend.

Assassin's Creed: Origins - PS4, Xbox One, PC

The Assassin's Creed franchise is known for its inconsistency. One game will come out and blow audiences away and then the next game will be a complete blunder. Assassins Creed 2 and 3 come to mind or Black Flag and Unity. However, this time around, it looks like Ubisoft is heading in the right direction, finally allowing players to experience ancient Egypt. Players will be leaders of the Assassin’s Brotherhood, tasked with uncovering lost tombs and exploring the pyramids. Ubisoft took a different direction with this title, embracing a new RPG style which fits perfectly with the expansive open world.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus - PS4, Xbox One, PC

This franchise has been around for decades and gamers are ecstatic the eleventh installment is nearing release. It will be a sequel to the 2014 game, Wolfenstein: The New Order. Taking a lot of the gameplay style from The New Order but of course, the developers have a lot more to work with in terms of gaming technology. The environments and some elements of the core game will be entirely different. This will truly be a treat for any Wolfenstein fan but has also appealed to newcomers of the series as well. It'll be interesting to see how this classic franchise fairs in this interesting new gaming market the world currently embracing.

While last month was exciting, October begins the season of huge launches that will surely consume our time, money, and thoughts. Biggest October Game Releases

The Evil Within 2

Detective Castellanos is back, but unfortunately so is MOBIUS, an evil corporation hellbent on making the world a better place through a series of human rights violations. Without spoiling too much, our shamed police officer is hopping back into the world that started his problems to save someone most likely not worth the trouble. This horror experience is brought to you by the creator of the Resident Evil series and it shows through the creepy atmosphere, setting, and aesthetic. The perfect fit for any horror lovers collection!

Super Mario Odyssey

Everyone's favorite mushroom loving superhero is back and this time he's a wizard (sort of). Mario has the unique ability to "Capture" his enemies with the help of his trusty sentient hat. What Nintendo means to say is that our mustachioed protagonist can possess the body of almost any object, whether they are alive or inanimate. If that sounds horrifying, it's because it is! This new mechanic will surely be a treat for any fan of the mushroom kingdom and a must buy for Nintendo Switch owners.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus

It's time to start the second American Revolution with our good buddy B.J. Blazkowich, everybody's favorite Nazi murdering hero! Step into an unrecognizable United States and proceed to tear through every Nazi scumbag that dared to take over the land of the free. B.J. has a bone to pick and he's not going stop until his home is back to what it used to be. With a delightful cast of characters and a truck full of weapons, technology, and vehicles, this mission is more than achievable. The must-have sequel is the perfect end of the month celebration... and seriously, who doesn't love slaughtering virtual Nazis!
