Fans Recreating The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion in Skyrim Engine

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is one of the most popular TES games to ever be released, with many fans hailing it as the best entry in the series. Now, a decade after the game first came out, a new mod wants to capitalize on fans love of the game by bringing the entire experience into The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's engine. The mod is being called Skyblivion and is being created by a group of volunteers known as TESRenewal with their goal being to bring Oblivion to a new generation of gamers and to revive the game for veteran fans. They plan on doing this by rebuilding the entirety of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and its corresponding DLC into the engine used in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Skyrim: Special Edition. This means that players will have to own Skyrim, Oblivion, and all DLC for both games otherwise Skyblivion will be inaccessible. Those interested that meet those requirements can access the mod by downloading it from Nexus, Steam Workshop, or Bethesda Mods. After downloading the mod players will need to launch Skyrim and create a new character, then Skyblivion and all of its rebuilt assets including Oblivion's creatures, locations, quests, create a class system, spell making mechanics and more will be available. Also players will be able to freely travel between Skyrim, Morrowind, and Cyrodiil. Elder Scrolls Currently, there is no set release date for Skyblivion, but it will be completely free when it eventually does come out on PC. Although, due to the size of the mod, TESRenewal has stated that it will not be releasing on consoles. Progress is moving along at a steady pace, with the exterior map already finished. We'll be sure to keep an eye on this fascinating project so be sure to check back with us here at GigamaxGames.com for all the latest details!

Destiny 2 New Independent Team

"Being independent means that the future of Destiny 2 is entirely on our team," Destiny 2 director Luke Smith and general manager Mark Noseworthy wrote in a blog post. "It also means that we're agile enough to choose to do what's best for the game and our players, even if it's the hard choice."

The expansion was previously slated for release on September 17th, but the date for both Shadowkeep and New Light has been pushed to October 1st. Due to the delay, many other release dates for Destiny 2 have been pushed back as well. The next raid, Garden of Salvation, will now be open to fans on October 5th. Team Rocket Makes Their Return To Pokemon Go

Team Rocket is back again on Pokemon Go. This group of villains made a hasty return to the mobile game and now it's time to see what trouble they're stirring up.

Team Rocket made their debut to Pokemon Go earlier this week, the nefarious group would invade PokeStops and attack players with Shadow Pokemon. Although they did not stay around for long, leaving only after a few days. Team Rocket is already ready to make their return, reappearing with greater numbers and brining new Special Research Quests along with them.

Team Rocket Pokemon Go Trailer

Players can encounter Team Rocket Grunts upon spinning certain PokeStops, which are identified by their special appearance. On the overworld view of the map, these locations will look darker and twitch at random intervals. When walking nearer, trainers will notice they are colored black instead of blue. After spinning the Photo Disc at the special PokeStops, a Team Rocket Grunt will reveal themselves and challenge the player.

These enemies carry Shadow Pokemon that have glowing red eyes and are surrounded by a dark aura. After beating the Grunt, they'll leave behind their Pokemon giving players a chance to capture the beast. Once a trainer captures the monster they can purify it at the cost of Candy and Stardust.

Purify that Pokemon!

The purification ritual will not only cleanse the Pokemon but it also gives it a stat boost. On top of that, purified Pokemon will cost less Candy and Stardust to level up, giving players even more of a reason to purify the corrupted monsters.

To go along with the Team Rocket invasion, Niantic released a Special Research questline called A Troubling Situation. After starting up the game, Professor Willow will give players their first group of tasks.

There's certainly plenty going on in the world of Pokemon Go, with a special One Piece crossover event currently underway. This event gives trainers the opportunity to capture Pikachus wearing straw hats. Armored Mewtwo is also the game's current Legendary but is scheduled to depart on July 31st. Finally, the game's next community day has been announced. That will occur on August 3rd with the featured Pokemon being Ralts.

Ubisoft Bans XP Farming In Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Creator Mode Missions

Assassin's Creed Odyssey recently gave control of mission creation to the players through their new Story Creator mode. Although, Ubisoft quickly noticed that a number of missions have popped up with the intention of earning players quick XP, and has announced their plan to halt the use and creation of these missions.

The developer said they were making this update to uphold the integrity of this creativity based mode and to keep the farming missions from crowding out the legitimate levels.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey - Story Creator Mode

"Story Creator Mode was designed to be a tool for players to let their creativity and imagination run free as they build their very own Stories to share with others, using a modified version of the tools our own designers used to develop the quests in the game," said Ubisoft. "These exploits risk jeopardizing the overall quality, integrity, and purpose of Story Creator Mode and results in less visibility for the creative, interesting and frankly fantastic community stories that have been published."

The update went over a variety of steps Ubisoft has planned to address this issue. These include filtering XP quests from their recommended missions section, hiding stories reported for exploits, enacting sanctions on those that misuse Story Creator, and updating their terms of use to reflect these changes. Ubisoft is looking into further changes for future updates.

This move certainly comes with its fair share of controversy though, as Assassin's Creed Odyssey's biggest criticism was the game's massive grind. Many players found these quests extremely useful in improving their enjoyment of the game.

Meanwhile, Ubisoft is gearing up to release the final installment of their Fate of Atlantis DLC trilogy, which is releasing on July 16th. As of now, that is the last piece of downloadable content that Ubisoft has planned for the game. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Trailer Reveals New Details

To follow up their recent Monster Hunter World: Iceborne beta on the PS4, Capcom released a new trailer detailing the upcoming expansion pack.

The trailer shows off a number of new monster variants that players will be able to take on, along with a beast many veteran hunters may recognize. The new gathering hub where players will spend their time in-between hunts makes an appearance as well.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne July Trailer

As previously teased in the last Monster Hunter World: Iceborne trailer, the fire using Glavenus from Monster Hunter Generations is making its return. The expansion pack will also introduce subspecies monsters, which are described as "extreme, twisted variations that amp up the difficulty and require master-level hunting skills to defeat." The trailer showed off two of these beasts including the Fulgur Anjanath, which uses electricity-based attacks and the Ebony Odogaron which Capcom says is "more vicious than ever."

Iceborne takes place in the arctic region of Hoarfrost Reach, which features a new Gathering Hub that brings some quality of life improvements to the game. In the expansion, players will have much quicker access to tools like the Smithy, Resource Center, and Argosy thanks to their proximity to each other. Capcom added room decorating and stated that a later patch will allow other players to visit your room.

Gameplay Tweaks Incoming

The upcoming expansion introduces a number of other gameplay tweaks as well including two-player level scaling and some new Palico gadgets. These two new cat based tools are known as the Shieldspire Stooge and the Meowcano. The first is a decoy that monsters can get distracted by, while the later is a jar that shoots fireballs in all directions.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne officially launches on September 6th on both Xbox One and PS4. PC players will have to wait until winter, but as of now no official release date has been announced.
