City of Brass, the rogue-like adventure created by Bioshock veterans is now coming to the Nintendo Switch. This February 8th, Switch gamers will have the opportunity to enjoy this treasure filled journey on the portable console. Uppercut Games announced in a press release that the Switch version will launch with much of the newly developed content added since its release on May 4th, 2018.
City of Brass PC and PlayStation 4 Gameplay
Immediately upon release, Switch gamers will be able to get started unlocking the three new characters; the knife-fighting Brigand, spear-wielding Soldier, and lumbering Hellion genie. The original Fool and Traveler duo will also be available for new adventurers just starting out.
Along with the characters, all the new relics, weapons, enemies, and bug improvements are included in the Switch version as well. The move to bring the game to the Switch has fans excited about having the ability to bring City of Brass on the go (in bed, bathroom, or anywhere else).
It's a Shiny World Out There
Uppercut Games developed an exquisite world filled with mystery, action, and treasure. The procedurally-generated environments ensure every attempt to escape the cursed City of Brass with as much gold in players pockets as possible feels fresh and different . All the characters and items players can find add so much to create individual and unique experiences. Collecting treasure, finding creative ways to avoid or slay enemies, experimenting with all the modifiers, and working through each level is absolutely addicting.
Now that City of Brass is going to be available on Switch, the audience for Uppercut Games creation is only expected to grow. Nintendo Switch has had incredible success with indie games and City of Brass is a perfect fit for this versatile console. If the game performs like many of the other indie games to find glowing success on the Switch, it could encourage the developer to pour even more resources into the game. Only time will tell if Uppercut Games will keep adding to this exhilarating treasure-hunting roguelike but adding a Switch release is a promising development.
The Gigamax Games crew are big fans of City of Brass. There is sure to be even more gameplay available to see how the game stacks up against the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 versions. Metro Exodus crawls out from beneath the streets of Russia on February 15th, 2019. Deep Silver and 4A Games gave audiences a taste of what’s to come with a brand new Story Trailer, yesterday 1/8/19. New characters, environments, challenges, and dangers await anyone that picks up a copy of Metro Exodus. Players will venture across the nuclear Russian wasteland and embark on a journey that will take them from Moscow to the Summer sands of the Caspian desert.
Metro Exodus will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.
Metro Exodus Story Trailer - Escaping the Metro
Anna, the protagonist’s Artyom’s wife can be heard narrating the intense trailer. The short, 2 minute thirty second clip was enough to instill the massive amount of stress Artyom’s team of Spartan Rangers face as they explore the decolate Russian wasteland. A broken landscape trying to recover after nuclear devastation is at first all people may see. However, the struggle of this determined crew highlights the importance of searching for some peace in a time of war. Taking solace in a breath of fresh air will still not be enough to protect the Spartan Rangers from the evil that lurks beyond the Metro.
It's a Rough Life Above Ground
Gamers will board the Aurora, a weaponized steam train as Artyom, Anna and Spartan Rangers move East. Searching for more survivors and some kind of civilization, players will need to scavenge, craft, and fight in order to survive.
The press release emphasized that the “gripping story” will elevate classic Metro gameplay with massive, new, non-linear levels. Dynamic weather and day/night cycles are included, expected to enhance the immersion level. The developer also added a “choose your fate” mechanic, allowing players choices to determine if some comrades will live or die.
Pre-Order Bundle Incoming!
Along with the Story Trailer reveal, Deep Silver and Microsoft showed off the Xbox One X Metro Saga Bundle. The bundle is currently available for pre-order and it includes a 1TB Xbox One X Console, all three Metro games; Metro 2033 Redux, Metro: Last Light Redux, and the new Metro Exodus. MSRP for the bundle comes in at $499.00, the usual cost of a 1TB Xbox One X on its own.
The last Metro game to come out, Metro: Last Light released in 2013. Metro Exodus is positioned to be a massive upgrade from the previous title. If the trailer is any indication of how the full game will turn out, Metro fans are in for a thrilling and unforgettable adventure.
Katamari Damacy was a hit when it came out in 2004. It was developed by Namco and Now Products for the PlayStation 2 and Microsoft Windows. This puzzle-action game is so strange, explaining it won’t do it justice. The only way to really understand what Katamari Damacy is all about is to watch some actual gameplay.
Now available for Nintendo Switch, Katamari Damacy is back with Katamari Damacy Reroll. Find the Katamari Damacy Reroll playlist, below!
Katamari Damacy Reroll || Nintendo Switch Gameplay Playlist
Rolling around a tiny world, collecting junk on the Katamari, slowly growing and engulfing larger and larger pieces of junk. That might sound like nonsense, but it’s the core concept behind Katamari Damacy. Players are tasked with rolling a ball around the world, collecting junk to expand its size. They need to make their ball a certain size to complete a level. With a strict time-limit, gamers need to act fast and navigate this clumsy ball around the map to get their Katamari to the right size.
It might sound simple, it may be strange, but the release of Katamari Damacy Reroll has gamers excited for a reason. This game is a unique and fresh take on puzzle games even 14 years after its release. Long-time fans and those just discovering Katamari Damacy for the first time are in for a treat. The Nintendo Switch is the perfect console to enjoy this silly adventure.

Most are aware that Call of Duty's development goes through a host of different companies and if the cycle continues as expected, Infinity Ward is next. A recent series of tweets of skeletons and skulls from the senior communication manager at Infinity Ward, Ashton Williams, could indicate the studiosinvolvement in the project and potentially points toward what direction the game may take. Although, the tweets do not include any text, fans started to speculate on what the cryptic series of messages could mean.
Infinity Ward is the studio behind Call of Duty: Ghosts, which led many to believe that the messages were teasing Ghosts 2. However, according to Jason Schreier, editor at Kotaku, this is not accurate. Before Infinity Ward created Ghosts and Infinite Warfare, they were the team responsible for the widely popular Modern Warfare series. Fans may remember one of Modern Warfare 2's main characters was Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley who wore a face mask with a skull pattern on it. Many fans suspect that the skull tweets could be indicating a sequel featuring the character.
Modern Warfare Remastered Gameplay, Below!
The tweets could also indicate that a Modern Warfare 2 remaster is on the way, considering how well Modern Warfare Remastered sold. The remake was sold alongside Infinite Warfare which could mean that the next Call of Duty will have a special edition that includes Modern Warfare 2 remastered. This is all speculation though, and the tweets could just be a tease for a brand new line of Call of Duty games, or, have nothing to do with the series at all.
The last Call of Duty to release was Treyarch's, Black Ops 4, and was the first in the series not to feature a proper single player campaign. It was also the first time a Battle Royale mode was added to the game. As of now, it is not clear whether the next game will have either of these features. We'll be sure to keep a close eye on any developments so be sure to keep checking back with us here at GigamaxGames.com.

The developers behind the Halo series, 343 Studios recently announced a few more details for Halo Infinite. This will be the sixth entry in the long-running series and based on what was said over the course of the stream, the title is still quite a ways off.
Halo Infinite Brings New Game Engine
Halo Infinite is utilizing a new engine 343 created specifically for the game and it could push back the release date into 2020. Fans can expect a return to four-player split-screen co-op as the developer announced that it was working on the system for the new engine right now. 343 also mentioned that the armor customization feature in Infinite will resemble the one used in Halo Reach. Additionally, players that have reached level 152 in Halo 5: Guardians will receive an additional reward in Halo Infinite when the game is released.
Some details about Halo 5 were also revealed during the stream. It was said that 343 did not have many things left to add to the shooter when it comes to armor and emblem customization. It was also implied that post launch development of the title has slowed down as members of the Halo 5 team are moved to the Halo Infinite team.
343 previously mentioned that Infinite will feature Master Chief's coolest design yet. Although, not much else has been revealed as the studio remains tight-lipped on details regarding the game's development. The studio hasn't even decided whether they're reaching for a Mature rating like the previous generation's Halo titles or Teen like Halo 5.
Halo Infinite is currently being developed for the Xbox One and PC and we here at Gigamax can't wait to see what 343 has in store. Be sure to check back with us here at GigamaxGames.com for all the latest details on the title!
Kingdom Hearts 3 get another tease before its January 29th, 2019 launch. Square Enix released what is most likely their final trailer until the game becomes available. It’s been nearly 12 years since Kingdom Hearts 2 and the wait is finally coming to an end. This Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer marks an important milestone for both the developer and fans. Gamers excited to dive into the world of Disney and Square Enix don’t have to wait long.
The trailer below is filled with gameplay and story details that will make any Kingdom Hearts fanatic start shaking with excitement. Its spectacular visuals don’t outshine the direction the developer took when creating one of the most highly anticipated games of the decade.
Kingdom Hearts 3 Final Trailer
Overall the trailer indicates Kingdom Hearts 3 will be the darkest, grittiest Kingdom Hearts to date. It looks as though the series grew up as their original audience became adults.
The excitement doesn’t end with the english version of the Kingdom Hearts 3 Trailer, there is also a Japanese version. It includes the Japanese soundtrack and voice acting. Anyone that wants as much Kingdom Hearts 3 as possible before 2019, the Japanese Kingdom Hearts 3 Trailer is below.
Being the last part of the Kingdom Hearts Trilogy, it will be the end of Sora’s adventure. All the characters that play a vital role in the main story show up in the trailer. Just from the short, three minute and forty-one second trailer is extraordinary and there’s no telling to what lengths the game creators went in order to send Sora off. With over 10 years since the second installment, anything less than an unforgettable, larger-than-life conclusion would be a massive disappointment.
Kingdom Hearts 3 will take place after the latest Kingdom Hearts title, Birth by Sleep. To catch up on the story and get ready for January 29th, the entire playthrough of Birth by Sleep is available below.
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Playthrough

The Game Awards, Game of the Year 2018 announcement has come and went. Some of the awards handed out were expected, others caught the gaming community by surprise. 2018 brought the world unforgettable video game experiences. With such a spectacular selection to choose from, it’s only natural there were some surprise winners.
Out of the 23 categories, seven awards stood out. People might tune in to The Game Awards to see which game takes home Game of the Year, but there are 22 other categories that hold incredible significance as well.
Below is a list of the seven awards that caught the world by surprise at this years Game Awards.
Best Art Direction
Return of Obra Dinn by 3909 was awarded Best Art Direction at The Game Awards 2018. Facing stiff competition, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, God of War, Octopath Traveler, and Red Dead Redemption 2, it is a miracle this little indie game rose above them all. This puzzle game with its unique black and white sketched art style was able to beat out games that cost millions, even hundreds of millions to develop and produce. This surprising win at The Game Awards 2018 is just a reminder that even small projects can have a massive impact on the video game industry.
Roger Clark as Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2 put on a spectacular performance. However, the surprise is the performances Clark was able to outshine. Bryan Dechart as Connor in Detroit: Become Human, Christopher Judge as Kratos in God of War, Melissanthi Mahut as Kassandra in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and Yuri Lowenthal as Peter Parker in Marvel’s Spider-Man all put on performances that will stay with gamers for years to come. Each one of these talented voice actors had a chance to take home Best Performance at The Game Awards but Clark and his interpretation of Arthur Morgan was given the honor.
Best Action Game
Leaving jaws on the floor, this category winner was unexpected to say the least. Dead Cells by Motion Twin beat out Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Destiny 2, Far Cry 5. And Mega Man 11 for Best Action Game. Dead Cells is an amazing game but this side-scrolling roguelike-metroidvania video game taking home Best Action Game is the embodiment of a surprise win. Its Google card doesn't even categorize the game as an action game and it still won Best Action Game. This isn’t just a surprising win, it must have also been a massive hit for Treyarch, Bungie, and Ubisoft Montreal to lose to such an underdog.
Best Role Playing Game
Monster Hunter: World was awarded Best Role Playing Game of 2018. Up against some stiff competition, this grind-fest of a game rose above all others. Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age, Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, Octopath Traveler, Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire just didn’t have what it takes to beat it out Capcoms latest creation. Among the nominees for Best Role Playing Games, Monster Hunter: World is the least obvious RPG. Focused on gearing up by killing giant monsters, the story is usually only a means to open up new monsters to slay. Monster Hunter: World did stand out when compared to previous Monster Hunter titles. It offered gamers the most engrossing and RPG-like story that those that came before it.
Best Family Game
If anyone put money on who would win Best Family Game, this announcement may have cost them. Overcooked 2 took home the prize, beating out games like Mario Tennis Aces, Nintendo Labo, Starlink: Battle for Atlas and most surprisingly Super Mario Party. Gaming is for everybody and the entire the family can get involved. When looking for a video game that everyone can enjoy, Overcooked 2 might be the best choice according to The Game Awards.
Forza Horizon 4 by Playground Games, Turn 10 Studios, and Microsoft Studios scooped up Best Sports/Racing Game at The Game Awards 2018. Not even the massively popular FIFA 19 was able to strip the crown from Forza Horizon 4. The racing game also stood up against massive hits like Mario Tennis Aces, NBA 2K19, and Pro Evolution Soccer 2019.
Game of the Year 2018
God of War deserved this award. That opinion still doesn’t make it any less surprising it surpassed Red Dead Redemption 2 or Marvel’s Spider-Man. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Celeste, and Monster Hunter: World were also nominated but these games were clearly going to be overshadowed. God of War was able to leave such an impression on gamers, the community, and the industry that even its early year release in April didn’t hold it back. Red Dead Redemption 2 dropped only weeks before The Game Awards but God of War was still tattooed in the brains of those who first played it over seven months ago.
Every game that was nominated at this years Game Awards deserved recognition. It was especially pleasing to see indie games once again break barriers. The list above isn’t here to say these games didn’t deserve the win, it represents games that were able to break the mold and overtake any “obvious” winners. It goes to show that gamers are an enigma. There is no sure winner when art is judged, especially in the video game industry.
Fortnite Season 7 Has Arrived With Plenty of Changes
Epic Games officially kicked off Season 7 of their insanely popular shooter, Fortnite, with the launch of their 7.00 update. As with every other season before it, this is a substantial patch that signifies the start of major changes to the game in the form of an event. In this update, an iceberg has collided with the Fortnite island, which expanded the map, added an icy look over sections of the terrain, added a plane, new skins, and plenty more.
"Discover new areas such as Frosty Flights, Polar Peak, and more," Epic says in the patch notes. "Uncover what’s in the new Battle Pass, rule the skies with the new X-4 Stormwing plane, and change the style of some of your favorite weapons and items with Wraps in Battle Royale."
Take to the Skys
The plane is able to hold five players, the pilot and four other people who ride along on the wings. The flying vehicle features a mounted turret that makes it a devastating mobile weapon.
With the new season also comes a new battle pass that features over 100 new cosmetic items for players to unlock by completing challenges and playing the game. Along with the typical cosmetics, Epic created a new type called Wraps which "allow you to customize your weapons and vehicles with all new looks to match and complement your favorite outfits." (https://bit.ly/2RDLdeb)
Balloons have been adjusted so that players can still use their guns with the item. Epic also gave the boot to a bunch of items with the start of Fortnite Season 7 including Shadow Stones, Port-A-Fort, Chiller, Clinger, Double Barreled Shotgun, and Shockwave Grenade.
One of the biggest additions to Season 7 is Creative Mode, a sandbox based experience that encourages players to build unique Fortnite adventures either alone or with friends on their own private island. "It's a brand new way to experience the world of Fortnite," Epic said about the mode. "Design games, race around the island, battle your friends in new ways and build your dream Fortnite. It's all happening on your own private island where everything you make is saved."
Fortnite is currently a powerhouse in the multiplayer gaming space and it appears that Epic has no plans of slowing down on releasing updates for their popular shooter. If you'd like to see a full breakdown of all the changes, check out the full patch notes on Fortnite's website.

Fallout 76 Impressions and Gameplay
Fallout 76 will be receiving a variety of balance changes such as increasing the number of loot drops from boss type enemies and automatic weapon damage is being boosted by 20% to help players feel more powerful while traversing the wasteland.
There are also plenty of bug fixes in the massive update. One fixes an issue where an infinite loading screen would occur if a player got signed out of their console while playing. On Xbox One specifically, the patch repairs an issue that would crash the game upon accepting team invites. Bethesda has also added some UI, survival, and perk changes. For a look at all the changes being implemented to Fallout 76, you can find the full patch notes from Bethesda's website.
