Halo Reach was launched worldwide on December 3, 2019. Now available on Steam and Xbox One, gamers flocked to the renowned Halo franchise to enjoy the 2010 classic, Halo Reach. It is sold separately for $10 or gamers can pick up The Master Chief Collection for $40 and can experience Halo Reach and five additional Halo titles.
Halo fans have been itching to get their hands on all these titles once in one neat bundle, again. The Master Chief Collection now allows gamers to do just that and on a modern console as well as PC. 343 Industries brought the Halo universe to PC gamers and Xbox One owners at the tail end of 2019. Unfortunately, those that purchase The Master Chief Collection will not be able to enjoy all of the titles mentioned above on day 1. Halo: Reach will be the first chapter in the collection to release. The rest of the Halo games will be released throughout 2020.
VentureBeat released a report highlighting Halo’s climb to the top of the PC sales chart. It may be odd to think Halo, a franchise that has been around since 2001 was able to make a monetary splash. However, this is the first time many of these Halo games are available on PC. Now this collection is available on Steam and gamers are taking full advantage.
The true scope of this mass migration back to Halo is evident when looking at Steam’s ‘Top Games by Current Player Count’. Halo: The Master Chief Collection sprinted to number three on the ‘Top Games by Current Player Count’ chart. It reached 152,023 current players, sitting below only Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Dota 2.
Halo is back in a big way. PC gamers will eventually get to enjoy all the Halo games they weren’t able to originally play. Xbox One players will be able to experience their favorite Halo games on Microsoft’s latest and most powerful console to date. With the way people are rushing back to the nearly two-decade-old franchise, the community is still hungry for Halo.
