Sega is celebrating the Olympics being held in Tokyo next year with a range of different games. Chief among them is Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, a Nintendo Switch title that will once again pit the age old rivals against each other in a variety of olympic themed sporting events.
Sega is also working on Olympic Games: The Official Video Games which is in development for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Additionally, there's an arcade version of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 as well as a version for mobile devices. The trailer for this collection of games can be viewed below.
Mario & Sonic Arcade Olympic Adventure!
The trailer showcases a range of events which includes: running, swimming, shot put, tennis, basketball, volleyball, motorsports, skateboarding, baseball, hurdles, long jump, and more. Variety is certainly a theme that Sega is going for in this generous collection of sports.
The first Mario & Sonic at the Olympic games launched back in 2007 for the Wii and received mixed responses. Many critics chastised the game's intrusive use of motion controls that made the mini games feel frustrating and monotonous. Despite the game being a critical failure, it sold very well, probably leading Sega's decision to make a sequel.
Warframe is now available on the Nintendo Switch. This free-to-play space-ninja shooter/hack-and-slash continues to make it way to new audiences years after its release. Known for its liberal use of microtransactions, this fact kep the Gigamax Games crew away from exploring the Warframe universe. However, after its release on the Nintendo Switch, it was time to take a closer look.
Warframe YouTube Playlist with Gigamax Games
Warframe is beloved by many, hated by some. It took a few tries before one of the crew was able to fully embrace Warframe and still, the other half of the Gigamax crew can’t see beyond the pay-to-win aspect of the game. Still, the revisit to Warframe was a welcomed surprise. After countless content updates and quality of life improvements, this is a very different game than the original that was released in 2013.
Warframe embraces the games-as-a-service model to a T. Give the audience a taste of the content and lock some cool stuff behind a paywall. This has a tendency to anger gamers, however, Warframe was able to break out and offer enough quality content to keep people coming back. Beyond the pay-to-win feel, it was made clear early on that if players want to grind their way through the game, they would be able to work around any microtransactions. It didn’t have to cost real money to slay aliens with ease, but purchasing in-game currency is an option.
Thank You for Watching!
It means the world that you took the time to stop by. If you want to see more Warframe, leave a comment on the video or at the bottom of this page! For more videos, every week, don’t forget to Subscribe, Like, Share and Comment!
After many weeks of teasing a new title that fans suspected was Borderlands 3, Gearbox finally took the time to reveal the game and drop a gameplay trailer at PAX East yesterday (3/28/19).
Borderlands 3 Official Trailer
Those that have played any of the previous Borderlands titles will recognize many familiar elements from throughout the series. A team of four vault hunters, "1 billion" guns, big mechs and vehicles, Claptrap, and his vast array of stylish dance moves, the series' iconic cel-shaded graphics, and huge levels that give players a sandbox to roam around and shoot baddies. Plenty of classic characters also popped up throughout the trailer including: Brick, Lilith, Maya, Mordecai, Ellie, Marcus, Tiny Tina, and plenty of others.
New Vault Hunters and Abiliites
It did not take long but fans are already discussing what the new vault hunters abilities using hints from the trailer.
There's a muscle-bound female character that appears to be a siren. She is seen spawning six ethereal arms and later in the trailer a giant arm has an enemy trapped in a bubble.
A small female hunter is seen standing in front of a mech that she can apparently summon. Later in the trailer, she is driving a giant motorized tire and shooting its variety of guns.
A soldier-like male hunter is seen using a device that creates a holographic version of himself.
Finally, there's a robotic hunter in a cape that can allegedly command pets such as a skag and spiderant.
The trailer also revealed a variety of different worlds that players will be exploring including the familiar desert, green and watery swamplands, and a slick future city. Also included in the trailer were a numerous amount of enemy types and beautiful (and we mean so so beautiful) showers of green, blue, and purple loot.
Unfortunately, Gearbox was not ready to announce a release date today, but they promised more information on April 3rd, the same day Borderlands: Game of the Year edition comes out. Explorers of No Man’s Skys procedurally generated universe finally have a chance to re-discover the infinite galaxy in Virtual Reality. The ability to play the entire game in true VR is the latest news about the games next update, No Man’s Sky: Beyond. Hello Games announced on their blog and included the video below, offering a look at No Man’s Sky in Virtual Reality.
No Man’s Sky Virtual Reality Reveal
No Man’s Sky Virtual Reality will be available on PlayStation VR and Steam VR. The update is expected to drop this summer but no official release date has been revealed. Sean Murray, the highly publicized part owner of Hello Games followed up the blog post with a Tweet that hints another surprise is on the way for No Man’s Sky: Beyond.
No Man’s Sky BEYOND, a major free chapter, coming Summer 2019.
With three updates in one: 1) No Man's Sky Online 2) No Man's Sky Virtual Reality 3) ?
No Man’s Sky has made tremendous strides since its lackluster and scandal fueled release. Now in VR, this extraordinary immersive space exploration game will take immersion to an entirely new level. Use the jetpack and fly over alien creatures, mountains, caverns, or fly a starship above unique worlds or through star systems. People can actually grab their multitool out of their backpack, tough it and switch to terrain manipulation mode, carve up the landscape with your hand as the control.
Only Time Will Tell...
Sean Murray was proud to ensure fans that No Man’s Sky Virtual Reality feature is not a separate mode. Instead, No Man’s Sky core game will include Virtual Reality as an optional feature for those with VR headsets. This means No Man’s Sky may become the most in-depth, built out VR game available to consumers.
For now, details about No Man’s Sky: Beyond are scarce. The first announcement was No Man’s Sky Online, which is a huge step forward for the multiplayer aspect of the game. The second aspect of Beyond, and the theme of this article, is the Virtual Reality component. Now all that’s left is to wait for the third installment of the update as hinted in Murray’s tweet. Be sure to stick around GigamaxGames.com. for any more details on No Man’s Sky: Beyond and to keep up with the latest gaming news!
After a recently aired special episode of Persona 5: The Animation titled "Stars and Ours," the developer behind the critically acclaimed RPG series, Atlus, revealed some more information about the mysterious game, Persona 5R. The trailer below shows the title of the game is Persona 5 The Royal.
Persona 5 The Royal, Game Name Reveal Trailer
While Atlus didn't provide any further details on what the game is, they teased that more information will be coming April 24 during a live concert event called, Persona Super Live 2019. Many suspect, due to the nature of previous Persona games and the trailer, that this title will be a Game of the Year edition that contains additional content.
The trailer for Persona 5 The Royal focuses on a new character who studies at the games high school, Shujin Academy, where most of the main characters also attend. In the trailer she is asked about her opinion on the Phantom Thieves, the vigilante group your player controls throughout the course of the game. She then points out that she does not exactly approve of their methods on crime fighting.
New Content Incoming
It's very possible that this new character will be the focus of the additional content. Atlus typically throws some new content into its re-released games, as fans have seen with their launches of Persona 3 FES and Persona 4 Golden. Many are guessing that this content will include a new palace and storyline.
We'll be sure to keep our eye on any updates regarding this title so for more Persona 5 The Royal news keep checking back with us here at GigamaxGames.com!
In February, Apex Legends dethroned Fortnite on Twitch as the most-viewed video game on the platform, solidifying its position as the new hotness in the increasingly crowded Battle Royale genre. Apex Legends boasts a roster of 8 unique characters each with their own roles and skillsets. Each Legend is extremely specialized, allowing you to pick and choose a character that best suits your personal playstyle – a great Lifeline main, for instance, plays the game vastly different from a skilled Wraith main – and part of the fun is trying out the different Legends and finding the one that best suits you. If you’re looking to up your game and consistently rank higher in matches, we’ve got the tips and tricks that will help you optimize how you play your favorite Legends.
Bangalore is the definition of “shock and awe”. Her skills are designed to induce maximum confusion, disorienting foes enough to allow for ambushes or quick getaways.
Optimizing Your Playstyle
Smoke Launcher is best used offensively. Any foes in the smoke will be scrambling to get out where your guns will be waiting.
You can smoke defensively – like when reviving an ally, looting, or recharging your shield – but keep in mind that the enemy has seen where you are and is likely waiting for you to reappear. Smart players will instinctively lob grenades into any smoke clouds they see.
Use Bangalore’s Ultimate Ability, Rolling Thunder, in tandem with your smoke cloud to disrupt the flow of battle. The stun effect of Rolling Thunder is terrifying, and any enemies caught in its area will immediately run for the hills.
Bangalore’s Passive Ability, Double Time gives her a speed boost when taking fire. Use your other skills to close the distance and take the fight to the enemy.
Information wins wars, and Bloodhound is the ultimate intel gatherer. Geared with skills that allow your team to track and hunt enemy Legends, Bloodhound opens up possibilities for ultra-aggressive tactics.
Optimizing Your Playstyle
Communicate! Key information about enemy movements and actions can influence how your teammates play. Make sure everybody knows what you know.
Eye of the Allfather not only tells you what people have done, but how long ago they did it. Use this information to determine how you want to enter new areas or estimate how many enemies might be around.
Use your passive to chase down foes in the frenzy of battle. Nobody can escape a good Bloodhound.
Beast of the Hunt gives Bloodhound a speed boost and puts a red outline around enemies you spot. Utilize this swiftness to close long distances and flank enemies.
Caustic’s skills center on his ability to place Nox Gas Traps, canisters of poisonous gas that distort enemy vision and slowly tick down their health. This Legend plays completely differently from the others in Apex Legends, requiring the player to stay a step ahead of foes to properly maximize the effectiveness of his skills.
Optimizing Your Playstyle
If an enemy squad has a Caustic in their lineup, focus fire him first. All Caustic’s are immune to the effects of Nox Gas – he’ll be the only one in his team that isn’t rushing to get out of the effects of your gas.
Caustic pairs up well with Pathfinder, who can see where the next Ring will be. Use this information to prepare your traps for future scuffles.
You can throw traps on top of doors! Intermediate players will look for Nox Gas Traps at ground level, but they’ll rarely look for them above. Open a door from the outside (pushing the doors inwards) and line up the trajectory line of your Gas Trap in the slight space between the door hinge and the wall.
This monstrous beefcake is a straightforward tank, providing shields to keep his friends from harm. His Passive Ability, Gun Shield means he can get up close and personal with foes, and his Ultimate Ability rains explosives from the heavens to deal massive damage.
Optimizing Your Playstyle
Medium- to long-range engagements can often turn into stalemates, where both parties are safely behind cover firing pot shots from afar. Use your Ultimate Ability, Defensive Bombardment, to force enemies out of cover. Remember, this skill is useless in caves and areas with ceilings that prevent the bombs from hitting the ground.
Your Passive, Gun Shield, is great during duels, but there’s a cost: you move much slower with the shield up. Disable it when engaging from a distance and keep it active when in tight spaces.
Bullets can’t enter nor escape Dome of Protection. Enemies usually attempt to enter your shield, so prepare for a close-range battle after deploying the Dome.
Just as her name suggests, Lifeline skillset provides heals to keep your team fit and ready to fight at all times. Her Ultimate, Care Package, can give your team an early advantage equipment-wise.
Optimizing Your Playstyle
D.O.C. Heal Drone should be saved for close- to mid- range shootouts. That extra heal means your buddies can absorb a lot more bullets.
Lifeline’s passive, Combat Medic, allows her to revive players 25% faster than other Legends. She also drops a shield when reviving. If enemies are around, always be sure the shield drops between you and them.
Lifeline’s Ultimate Ability, Care Package, can give your team a significant equipment advantage early on. More than any other Legend, Lifeline should get top priority when it comes to Ultimate Accelerants. This ability should be used whenever it’s off cooldown.
A sneaky gunfighter, this Legend uses holographs to distract and confuse his foes. Equipped with a great escape as his Ultimate Ability, Mirage can be a pain in the butt to track down and finish off.
Optimizing Your Playstyle
Your decoy isn’t a simple static holograph. It doesn’t simply run where you tell it to, but it also imitates some actions such as sliding and jumping. You can also order it to approach an item cache or banner and it will act as if it’s interacting with those objects.
Use your decoy when you’re behind cover to distract your enemies and buy yourself time to heal, charge your shield, or revive teammates.
Save your Ultimate Ability, Vanishing Act, for moments when you’re in extreme danger. The skill cloaks you, allowing you to back off and find cover to restore your life or shield.
Equipped with a handy sensor that allows him to detect where the next Ring will be, Pathfinder always knows the right way to go. His trusty grappling hook lets him position himself in sneaky, hard-to-reach locations and make quick getaways when the he’s in a tight spot.
Optimizing Your Playstyle
Your Grappling Hook allows you to move vertically. Use this wisely to keep yourself at a higher position than your opponent. It also allows you to position yourself to fire shots from unexpected places.
Use your Grappling Hook during battles. The verticality of Pathfinder’s movement makes him a difficult target to aim at.
Pathfinder’s Passive Ability, Insider’s Knowledge, lets him see where the next Ring will be. This makes him a great partner for Caustic: find out where the Ring is going to be and set up Caustic’s traps there.
Your Ultimate Ability, Zipline Gun, affords your squadmates the verticality that you enjoy. Use this when preparing for a firefight or for setting up ambushes.
Wraith’s skillset promotes a full-frontal offensive style of play with the mobility to weave in and out of scuffles with ease. Her ability to cloak, making her nearly invisible, makes quick pickoffs and swift getaways a breeze.
Optimizing Your Playstyle
Your Passive Ability, Voices from the Void, will alert you when there’s danger nearby. The cue is a soft whisper, however, it can be easy to miss without headphones on.
Into the Void is a fantastic utility skill. You can use it to make zoom out of danger and avoid ambushes or for flanking foes and picking off stragglers.
You can’t see other players when you’re using Into the Void, so keep track of where enemies are positioned before activating the skill.
If your ally has been downed, consider setting up a portal next to him and triggering the second portal a distance away. Downed allies can still use your portals. This can let them get the distance they need to allow you to revive them in relative safety.
Utilize your Ultimate Ability to weave in and out of battle zones. Legends that prefer to be stationary, like Gibraltar or Lifeline, can be picked off through smart use of portals.

The most recent character NetherRealm revealed is the emperor of the underworld himself, Kotal Kahn.
The beta will include both online multiplayer matches and the single player Towers of Time mode. Coffee Stain Studios, the original team behind Goat Simulator and Sanctum just released Satisfactory for PC on Epic Games Store for early access. Satisfactory is a gorgeous first-person factory builder sim, with a dash of No Man’s Sky and a splash of mystery. The game has been in closed alpha since October 2018 but Coffee Stain Studios thinks Satisfactory is ready for a larger scale test. Along with the announcement of its early access release, the studio also posted a development roadmap so fans can know what to expect over the next couple months.
Satisfactory Early Access Launch Trailer
In the short two minute early access launch trailer, a massive amount of content can be seen. An expansive “handcrafted” world awaits the employees of FICSIT Inc., measuring in at 30km2 or just under 20 square miles. Players are enterprising space Pioneers tasked with charting and exploring a strange alien world. They will build and automate monstrous factories for an unknown reason. FICSIT Inc. employees are not the typical 9-5 workers. These individuals need to fight off hostile alien beasts, research new tech, automate vehicles and continue improving their area of operation.
Multiplayer, Vehicles, and Wacky Aliens!
Satisfactory early access launches with multiplayer (1-4 players), vehicles with automation capabilities, and six tiers of milestones that each unlock new machines, resources, and equipment. The game releases on early access with an impressive amount of content but the studio ensures this is only the beginning.
“Satisfactory offers immense creative freedom for players. Working with the community during the alpha and seeing their amazing and bizarre factories has been an awesome and constantly surprising experience,” said Oscar Julsen, Game Director at Coffee Stain Studios. “The game is far from perfect but we have huge plans moving forward and we’re excited to invite players to exploit this beautiful alien planet with us and shape the future of irresponsible space construction!”
Those on PC can purchase a copy today for $29.95 and the company warned that this price could increase when a full version of the game is released. Satisfactory can be found right now exclusively on the Epic Games Store.
Coffee Stain Studios is incredibly transparent about the development process and relays that they are unsure how long early access will last. They did state that the game will be in early access for at least a year but it could be longer. No word yet on when fans can expect to pick up a 1.0 version. Be sure to keep checking back on GigamaxGames.com for the latest updates on Satisfactory, gameplay videos, and the latest video game updates!
Valve has revealed that it's going to reassess user reviews on its digital game market, Steam, in order to ensure developers products are not being review bombed. In a post on the Steam blog, Valve stated that it will now "identify off-topic review bombs, and remove them from the Review Score."
"We define an off-topic review bomb as one where the focus of those reviews is on a topic that we consider unrelated to the likelihood that future purchasers will be happy if they buy the game, and hence not something that should be added to the Review Score," Valve continued. The company admits there's still a bit of a grey area with this definition, so it's developed a tool that "identifies any anomalous review activity on all games on Steam in as close to real-time as possible."
After the new tool finds reviews that pose a problem, it will alert Valve who then will launch their own investigation into the matter. If Valve then finds the user reviews are malicious and not real, the developer of the title will be notified that every review within the time period of the review bomb will be removed from the game's overall score on Steam. After all of this, the developer will have to go through the reviews and decide which ones will be deleted.
Unfortunately, the new tool is unable to make the distinction between a good and bad review so even the real ones will be deleted in this new process. "But as we mentioned back in our first User Review post, our data shows us that review bombs tend to be temporary distortions, so we believe the Review Score will still be accurate, and other players will still be able to find and read your review within the period," Valve wrote on the blog. Negative comments that pertain to DRM or EULA changes will be considered off-topic review bombings.
If developers don't want their game included in the new algorithm, they are able to opt out of the process when putting their game on the Steam Store. The company is also working on a number of new updates for User Reviews but those won't be revealed until a later date.
