Rocket League may have come out three years ago, but that fact certainly hasn't slowed down Psyonix's regular updates for the radically popular indie game. The most recent patch to hit the game is called the Progression Update and it certainly does what the title suggests. On top of a new leveling system, Psyonix added achievements/trophies, in-game clubs, and fixes for a number of problems fans had with the online multiplayer. Also included in the update is the game's first Rocket Pass, which offers exclusive rewards, but it will cost you.
The biggest change to hit the game is of course the progression system. XP can now only be earned through casual and ranked online matches and now instead of experience being tied to performance it now almost solely depends on match length. In order for players to earn any experience, a match will need to go on for at least 60 seconds. Experience will then be earned every second after that until eventually maxing out at 20 minutes of gameplay time. Players will still earn a small amount of experience for every goal they score, being MVP, playing multiple games in a row, and replacing a bot in a match.
Psyonix has also removed the level cap from Rocket League as well as removing the Rookie and Semi-Pro titles. The developer adjusted the ranks Veteran through Rocketeer to line up with their other changes:
Veteran: Level 20
Expert: Level 40
Master: Level 60
Legend: Level 80
Rocketeer: Level 100
Their are additional titles to earn after hitting level 100, but new titles are only earned every 100 levels. Although this may sound like a monumental task, it is made easier thanks to the XP cap the game hits after level 20.
On top of the massive progression system overhaul, their are additional trophies/achievements for players to earn. All six of these can be earned through the game's new online tournament mode or club feature. Clubs can be up to 20 players big and come with customizable names, tags, and color schemes. When entering a match, the stadium will change to reflect the Rocket League club's colors. Players also have the option to verify their club so that it can't be copied by anyone else.
Of course, these are only the major changes that made their way to Rocket League. For a more detailed look at the other updates, don't miss Psyonix's blog post that goes over every fix that has been patched into the game.
Nudity, action, RPG elements, and sci-fi tech, the Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay demo had it all. CD Projekt Red, the developers behind Cyberpunk 2077, finally released their first bit of gameplay to the world. It was extremely well received by the video game community. The gameplay, story, in-depth world and incredible visuals all came together in the first hour of Cyberpunk 2077 and stunned audiences around the world. Cyberpunk 2077 is straight out of a dystopian future, reminiscent 90’s sci-fi movies like Judge Dredd and even has a little bit of The Fifth Element vibe as well.
Cyberpunk 2077 - Official 48 Minute Gameplay Reveal
The game has no release date and CD Projekt Red made it clear they will not be rushed to unveil their futuristic first-person RPG. CD Projekt Red did say they are aiming for a 2019 release but the game is still in its early stages of development as of now.
Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay Demo Impressions and Breakdown
The gameplay demo offered not only a look at the mechanics of the game but a brief overview of the world itself. It was stressed throughout the gameplay demo that everything was subject to change since Cyberpunk 2077 is still early in its development. However, they made some promises that amped fans up.
CD Projekt Red explained they are creating a living, breathing open world with no loading screens and nearly limitless ways to explore Night City. They claim to have created the most believable city in an open world game to date. Night City comes with NPCs that live their lives and a day/night cycle improves immersion. In a city where crime is commonplace, massive bursts of action and criminal activity aren’t just isolated to night time, either.
Its dialog system is entirely in-game driven, reacting to the situation at hand. This feature offers the gamer responses that make sense and are completely dependent on any situation the player might find themselves facing. Having a situationally based dialog system comes into play in Cyberpunk 2077 in a huge way. There are nearly limitless ways to progress through the story, and each action, inquest and out, has a direct impact on how future events unfold.
Combat and Special Powers
One of the most anticipated aspects of Cyberpunk 2077 was the preview of combat, powers, and quest mechanics. The first real mission they showed off in the gameplay demo highlighted the fact that there are multiple angles gamers can take when approaching a quest. There are both non-violent routes, violent options, and a mix of both. As in real life, no matter the choice, there is an opposite reaction. Every action, in mission and out, will change the way the game progresses. Anger the wrong group of people and a mid-afternoon car to car fire-fight might just be waiting for you around the next corner.
Destructible environments also add to the options gamers have when in the thick of battle. Shoot through walls with specialized weapons, find alternative routes to take down the enemy, and use specialized skills to make their way through a mission. Combat is similar to other first-person RPGs like Fallout. It’s a number based system and special abilities like the ability to slow time give the player unique ways to make their way through the level. Options and possibilities are limitless in Cyberpunk 2077 according to the gameplay demo.
No Limit on Impressive Sci-Fi Tech
Not so surprisingly, Cyberpunk 2077’s gameplay demo showcased some of the most imaginative and impressive sci-fi tech. Spider bots, cool character enhancements, and incredible weaponry are sprinkled throughout the game. The technology doesn’t feel shoehorned in the game, either. Everything in the world looked natural and as though it belonged in the world CD Projekt Red created. Body modifications, which are essentially character upgrades, were more of a surgical procedure rather than just clicking “upgrade” and unlocking a new skill, even further increasing the immersion factor.
Toward the end of the gameplay demo, CD Projekt Red turned on some high-level skills to show off what’s really possible in Cyberpunk 2077. Skills included x-ray-like vision, double-jump, and other game-changing player modifications. The developer also revealed some additional weaponry as well. These new weapons included a street modified shotgun and a “smart” gun. Weapons in this universe are made up of “modules” that allow players to explore an in-depth modification system, ensuring every player finds a weapon that fits their playstyle.
Guns aren’t the only weapon to make an appearance in the Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay demo. The Mantis Blades are basically spikes jetting out of a player's arms, an awesome melee option that gives the player the ability to hold themselves up on a wall, silently stalking enemies, waiting for the perfect time to strike.
There will also be plenty of different vehicles to use and travel around the city streets. Walk, drive, bike and find vehicles scattered throughout the city as the protagonist lays waste to sci-fi bandits and cyborgs.
CD Projekt Red Has Big Plans for CD Projekt Red
Limits are definitely not in Cyberpunk 2077’s vocabulary. It seems as though CD Projekt Red is taking their time to craft an unforgettable experience in every way possible. From gameplay to the visuals and the unbelievably in-depth open world, Cyberpunk 2077’s gameplay demo unleashed another helping of hype into the video game community. Only time will tell if Cyberpunk 2077 lives up to the expectations of gamers and if CD Projekt Red is able to keep the massive promises they’ve made. Be sure to keep checking back on GigamaxGames.com for any of the latest news coming out of CD Projekt Red and their latest project, Cyberpunk 2077.
Over the years video game fans have continually gotten frustrated at the amount of DLC game developers try to force on them. Even with this frustration growing, it certainly hasn't stopped Bandai Namco from adding day one DLC to their upcoming fighter, Soulcalibur VI which they revealed at this year's Gamescom event. In a bold move, the company is adding the character Tira as a purchasable option. Along with the fighter reveal, a second trailer also detailed another unique story mode where players create their own custom character.
Close Look at Tira
Tira is a bi-polar fighter that was introduced to the series back in Soulcalibur III and has since appeared in Soulcalibur IV and Soulcalibur V. Throughout the course of the series' history her fighting style has evolved to match her personality. This unique character has two different fighting states known as Gloomy, which allows her to dish out devastating attacks at the cost of her own health, and Jolly, which allows players to take a faster but weaker approach to combat. These styles can be switched on the fly or when certain moves are used.
Soulcalibur VI Campaign Details
The new story mode that Bandai Namco detailed is known as Libra of Soul and features a custom character trying to fulfill his destiny. Character creation certainly isn't new to the Soulcalibur series, Bandai added this mode back in Soulcalibur III and it has appeared in every subsequent game. As usual, players will be able to alter their character's appearance and choose how they fight opponents.
We here at Gigamax Games can't wait to try Soulcalibur VI when it releases on October 19th of this year. Make sure to check back with GigamaxGames.com for more details on this highly anticipated sequel as they become available!

The action-packed trailer below has all the latest announcements.
Jump Force - PS4/XBox One/PC - Gamescom 2018 Trailer
The biggest news from the trailer is that Gon and Hisoka from the popular series Hunter x Hunter will be joining the growing roster. Fans of Dragonball Z will also be happy to see that the villain turned hero, Vegeta is also making his way to the battlefield along with a map based on a planet he iconically tore apart in search of the Dragon Balls, Namek. Those that enjoy One Piece are also getting a number of new additions from the pirate fantasy including; Sanji, Sabo, and the infamous Blackbeard.
Bandai Namco is Dedicated
So far, Bandai Namco has shown they're dedicated to including as many characters from multiple series as they can possibly fit in this compilation. They've already revealed Luffy and Zoro from One Piece, Ichigo, Rukia, and Aizen from Bleach, Naruto, and Sasuke from Naruto, as well as Goku and Frieza from Dragonball Z. It was also revealed that Light and Ryuk would be making their way to the game, but unfortunately, they are unplayable and only exist to advance the story in campaign mode.
Brings a whole new meaning to Firefox
With a total of 15 fighters, Jump Force is quickly building the hype for Shonen Jump fans and we can't wait to see what other characters Bandai Namco pulls from the impressive backlog of heroes and villains at their disposal. Everything Else Gamescom 2018
As stated at the beginning of this article, a large majority of the breaking video game news was released at E3 2018. Developers like Sony, Ubisoft, Activision, Bethesda, Nintendo, and EA are present at Gamescom 2018 but primarily either behind the scenes with the press or giving gamers a first look at their upcoming games.
Ubisoft's Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is releasing later this year but attendees can find it on the showroom floor.
Bethesda isn’t going to be showing off a playable version of Fallout 76 but will have Rage 2 on display.
Nintendo fans at Gamescom 2018 will be excited to hear that Super Mario Party will be available to try. Diablo III Eternal Collection and even more upcoming Nintendo Titles will be available at their stand, too.
It feels like just yesterday Rainbow Six Siege players were given access to two operators by the names of Alibi and Maestro with the Operation Para Bellum update. However, Ubisoft isn't slowing down with their regular addition of new content. Last week the company teased the next update coming to the popular shooter, Operation Grim Sky, promising two more operators that are from Britain and the U.S. Now, the company has finally revealed what fans should expect on the battlefield in the near future.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege - Operation Grim Sky Gameplay Trailer
Rainbow Six Siege New Operators Explained
The first operator goes by the callsign Clash and is the first defender to have access to a bulletproof shield (Editors Note: SO CHEAP). Unfortunately for the attackers, the shield is always fully extended. This means that she will never have access to a gun while the shield deployed. Although to offset not having a firearm, the shield is able to deal electric shocks to opponents that stun and hurt enemies for a small amount of damage. Clash is perfect for going out and marking enemy locations while they're on the hunt and being a literal human shield for her teammates.
The second operator is an attacker whose callsign is Maverick and he comes equipped with a blowtorch for silently opening up reinforced walls. This new tool is absolutely devastating when mixed with Glaz's thermal scope because of how quick it can open up little kill holes. Those that want a big enough opening for players to fit through will need to practice patience. Cutting through metal silently in a wide area is no easy feat.
Ubisoft is also making changes to two maps that have been causing complaints. Operation Grim Sky will see a new take on the Consulate map. It will feature some new walls and places to take cover. The most massive map change is coming to Hereford Base. The company says it is now unrecognizable from its last iteration. As of now, there is no word on when Operation Grim Sky will hit Rainbow Six Siege, but the update is heading to test servers on August 20th.

New Battlefield V Trailer Teases Battle Royale Reveal
It is time for Battlefield fans to rejoice as the company behind the series, EA DICE, offered a brand new trailer for the next title, Battlefield V. This news comes only days before Europe's Gamescom convention and is followed by a teaser EA released to fans. Battlefield V is set to drop on October 11th for EA Access subscribers, October 16th for Deluxe Edition purchasers, and October 19th for those that only want the standard edition on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Battlefield 5 - Official Gamescom Trailer
The trailer certainly doesn't pull any punches when it comes to action sequences. It showcases a multitude of ways players will be able to shoot, stab, and destroy each other. All set to a sweet rendition of House of the Rising Sun, the trailer is definitely trying to portray the emotional turmoil taking place at the time. It definitely feels like DICE is going for a more cinematic experience in Battlefield V even during multiplayer battles as buildings crumble like never before and soldiers fall and climb over rubble while firing shots at each other.
Things Take a Mysterious Turn
During the final moments of the trailer, the gameplay footage takes a mysterious turn. With a plane flying over and focusing on a devastating ring of fire that is closing in around a group of feuding soldiers, this is almost certainly a tease for the Battle Royale mode that DICE said it will introduce in Battlefield V. The ring of fire seems to represent the "Circle" that is found in games like PUBG and Fortnite. When the trailer zooms in on the combatants, it shows not only classic ground soldiers but tanks as well. This addition of heavy vehicles will offer an extra layer to the Battle Royale formula that has yet to be seen.
Hopefully, this new trailer bodes well for whatever DICE is set to reveal at this year's Gamescom conference. We here at Gigamax Games are huge fans of the Battlefield series and absolutely can't wait for the next game in the series, Check back on GigamaxGames.com soon for all the latest in gaming news and industry updates!
Everything You Need to Know About Shadow of the Tomb Raider
The third installment of the rebooted Tomb Raider series will be released this September. From the trailers and extended gameplay videos, Shadow of the Tomb Raider looks every bit as good as Tomb Raider and Rise of the Tomb Raider. As with each new installment, there will be some changes that will take the game to the next level. Here is everything we know about Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
The biggest change is how players can now customize the difficulty levels to suit their play style. In the previous two titles, the difficulty settings covered every aspect of the game. In Shadow of the Tomb Raider players will have the option to change the difficulty settings for combat, puzzles, and environment traversal. This will allow players who prefer the fighting aspect of the game to have the combat setting on hard and the puzzles on an easier difficulty. The game can now be tailored to a player’s preference.
Lara Evolves and Gamers Benefit
As with Rise of the Tomb Raider, Lara has evolved to become much better at taking down her enemies. IGN reports that Lara can now cover herself in mud to enhance her stealth mode. She will also have a wider range of weapon upgrades. One exciting addition includes the fear arrow, which causes enemies to attack each other.
The map is also much bigger than before. The immense vertical spaces will offer plenty of opportunities for Lara to rappel, swing, wall walk, and use her rope and climbing axes. Swimming and underwater exploration will also be featured more prominently in the new game, as there is a plant that Lara can consume to extend her the amount of time she can hold her breath. There will be many more side quests and stories that reveal hidden tombs, artifacts, crypts, and other interesting locations and items.
The story will continue on from Rise of the Tomb Raider as Lara fights the evil Trinity. This time she will face them in Latin America and among Mayan ruins. In Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Lara will not only be saving the world from Trinity, but also fixing her own actions after she sets off the Mayan apocalypse.
No End in Sight for Tomb Raider
With the Tomb Raider franchise continuing to be successful more than 20 years after it was first released is a testament to the how ingrained the character has become in pop culture. We reported that this year the original 1996 Tomb Raider was inducted into the Video Game Hall of Fame. Shadow of the Tomb Raider is just the latest in the media empire that is the Tomb Raider franchise – one that’s been conquering multiple gaming and entertainment platforms for years.
Lara Croft continues to find new fans with the character being featured in games outside of the traditional adventure platform titles. Leading gaming platform Slingo has several titles adapted from popular video games, including the slot game Lara Croft Tomb Raider. While the game may lack the open world adventure of the new series, it features all the elements that have made Tomb Raider popular across the globe: Lara Croft, exotic locations, and ancient puzzles.
Outside of the gaming industry, the franchise has also continued to thrive. This year, a film adapted from the 2013 game was released starring Alicia Vikander. In 2018, Lara Croft and the Tomb Raider franchise has never been stronger.
It has been a three year wait for fans of Tomb Raider, and soon they will be able to once again experience a new adventure. From the violent opening that was shown off at gaming conventions, it looks like Shadow of the Tomb Raider will take the series further forward, and be another instant classic worthy of the franchise.

Story and "City That Never Sleeps" DLC
According to the Spider-Man (2018 Video Game) Wiki, claims that the story won’t be tied to existing comic books, video games or movies. This is a new take on the classic hero. However, classic characters like Mary Jane, Aunt Mary, and other characters from the Marvel Universe will all make an appearance. Both the Peter Parker and the Spider-Man character will be examined throughout the game, giving gamers a complete look into the life of the superhero and the person behind the mask.
A graduate from college at this point, Parker has already been a superhero for eight years. He accepted the role as protector of New York City. Then, after a criminal gang starts causing some serious trouble, parkers world is turned upside down. Familiar, unfriendly faces begin to emerge and it’s the job of Spider-Man to restore order. He is tasked with taking down the villains that are hell-bent on causing destruction and spreading evil.
After the initial release, gamers can expect to see a DLC named “City That Never Sleeps”. It includes three chapters that each include additional missions, more characters from the Spider-Man universe, and additional suits for Spider-Man.
