Atomic Heart Gameplay Trailer Beating with Terror

Atomic Heart, the upcoming video game by Mundfish is turning heads by standing out in a spectacular way. The game developer continues to release gameplay footage and every second of video they offer to the world, anticipation for Atomic Heart skyrockets.

It’s based in a alternate timeline where the technological revolution took place in the thick of the Soviet Union. Creepy doesn’t do gameplay of Atomic Heart justice. Coming to Steam, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, Atomic Heart is ready to make gamers think about, and question reality.

Atomic Heart Latest Gameplay Trailer

At first glance, it’s clear Atomic Heart is cut from a different cloth. Weird creatures, floating masses of translucent goo, little round robots and absolutely breathtaking visuals all capped off with intense combat. Gamers play as a Soviet KGB officer, tasked with inspecting “facility 3826”. Exploring both aboveground and belowground, Atomic Hearts worlds are separated into different biomes. From the information on Mundfishs’ website, it seems as though combat will be split into two classifications depending on these biomes. Ordinary regions focus on melee weaponry and, what Mundfish classifies as PVP regions wont “limit the use of firearms.”

Robots will be found around every corner of this odd and uncomfortable world. In Soviet Russia, robots were a way of life. All of these machines were manufactured in “the Factory” and were designed to serve the needs of the state or help its citizens. Every one of these robots was given a combat program which is activated in time of war. These are all the threats players will be facing as they explore this upside down timeline.

The Beta is expected to arrive in Q4 of 2019. As of now, there is no official release date but pre-orders are available to purchase on the Mundfish website. With its Bioshock-esk feel and unique take on a post-apocalyptic landscape, Atomic Heart is near the top of the Gigamax Games must-play list. Be sure to stick around as more news breaks surrounding this interesting new project by Mundfish begins to surface.

GameStop Stops Trying To Sell, Stocks Immediately Fall

GameStop made the official announcement that it will not try selling itself to another company. The video game retailer had no further details on its future, but investors certainly noticed and GameStop's stock plummeted not long after making the big reveal.

What's Next for GameStop?

"GameStop's Board has now terminated efforts to pursue a sale of the company due to the lack of available financing on terms that would be commercially acceptable to a prospective acquirer," the company said in a blog post. Unfortunately for GameStop, the announcement caused investment stock in the company to rapidly fall, with the value dropping by more than 25% to $11.21 at the time of this writing.

The company began looking for a potential buyer in June of 2018. GameStop entered talks with a private equity firm and even hired a financial advisor. Although, the company never said that a buyout would be the ultimate outcome. They previously stated that all options were being considered when it came to saving the company from financial hardship.

In a recent report by Variety, Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter said that GameStop's decision could be because they were unable to find an investor due to a decline in physical game sales and new competition. "A new console without a disc drive--unlikely, but possible--could kill [GameStop's] business," Pachter explained. "And all this talk of Amazon, Apple, and Google [streaming games] causes some to question whether there will be consoles at all."

All Empires Can Cruble

The company that once built an empire on used game sales and physical releases of new titles is feeling the shift toward a digital \-based model for video game sales. E-stores are how a majority of gamers make their purchases and GameStop has been unable to keep up. We'll be sure to keep an eye on any updates regarding this story so be sure to keep checking back with us here at GigamaxGames.com.

Dragon Ball FighterZ Getting More DLC

Dragon Ball FighterZ is about to get another round of DLC characters, adding to the already impressive roster the game contains. The first of these characters will be Jiren, The Pride Trooper, with 4 other characters following him throughout the year. This was revealed at the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour Finals, where Bandai Namco announced the Season 2 Fighter Pass.

Dragon Ball FighterZ Continues to Grow

The trailer revealed that Jiren would be available this week, January 31st. On top of that it was announced that Videl would be arriving alongside Jiren. It appears as though Videl can summon Gohan in his Great Saiyaman garb to help with combo attacks, kind of like how Android 18 and 17 work currently.

At the end of the trailer, Bandai Namco revealed two more characters that will eventually join the title: Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta and Broly from the recently released Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie. Although no footage was shown, the developer said the characters are coming soon.

Details on the price have yet to be revealed by Bandai Namco, but the previous Season Pass cost $35 and added 8 characters to the game including Broly, Bardock, Vegito, Fused Zamasu, base Goku, base Vegeta, Cooler, and Android 17. Each of these characters are also available for $5 individually. We'll be sure to keep a close eye on the upcoming characters so be sure to check back with us here at GigamaxGames.com.

Bethesda Details New PVP Mode For Fallout 76

Bethesda already made it clear that they're committed to Fallout 76 and now they've detailed their plans for expanding their currently watered down PVP experience. The developer recently revealed this new mode along with an early look at the next update on a blog post via their website.

Named Survival Mode, this new take on player vs. player combat was made to answer negative feedback regarding the current system. "Since the launch of Fallout 76, we've received lots of feedback from some of our more competitive players who requested greater challenge, fewer restrictions, and more incentives when it comes to PVP combat," Bethesda wrote. "With this in mind, we began developing Survival mode, which will bring a new way for you to engage in even more demanding, high-stakes, and deadly adventures in Fallout 76."

Fallout 76 Survival Mode Coming Later This Year

When Bethesda launches Survival Mode later this year, players will be given the choice to enter a Survival or Adventure mode (the standard Fallout 76 expereince) server upon logging in. Both of these choices will contain the same quests, items, events, and story but Survival gets rid of the restrictions that were previously placed on PVP. All players that are not on your team are marked as hostile and can engage you in combat at any time.

Fallout 76, fallout 76 game, fallout 76 news, fallout 76 update, fallout 76 pvp, bethesda, bethesda fallout

Survival Mode also offers a new set of penalties and rewards for those willing to take on the new challenge. Bethesda is going to actively alter the rules as players offer their feedback on the experience, but when the mode first launches players will not be able to use the "seek revenge button." Instead they'll be able to respawn back at their C.A.M.P or Vault 76. For those that score the kill, they'll be offered double the caps and a chance to gain the enemies Aid inventory.

The current launch window for the Survival beta is in March. Before that, Bethesda will be launching a new patch at the end of January that will fix another massive round of bugs, along with some quality of life upgrades. CI Games New Publishing Label for Indie Developers

Indie games continue to find success on the mass market. It’s a double-edged sword for indie developers. On one hand, gamers are actively seeking new indie games to try but on the other, it means a more competitive landscape. CI Games, developer and publisher, known for the Sniper Ghost Warrior and The Lords of the Fallen franchises announced a new publishing label dedicated to indie developers.

Known as United Label, it will bring on indie developers together and offer them the support they need to succeed. CI Games will kick the project off with 4 new indie games: Roki from Polygon Treehouse, Eldest Souls from Fallen Flag Studios, Tails of Iron from Odd Bug Studios, and Horae from Lunaris Iris. United Label is eager to expand and grow. They are actively seeking creative talents to offer them a “structure to success” and building meaningful long-term business relationships with their developers.

United Label Looking for Indie Developers

“We are bringing out existing publishing capabilities to talented developers. We started this process with one of our own IPs, by giving the entire project of Lords of the Fallen 2 to Defiant in New York.” says Marek Tyminski, CEO of CI Games

CI Games isn’t a Bethesda or EA, however, they’ve carved out a sizabe space for themselves in the market. In 2002, CI games made their existence known after selling over 7 million units of the Sniper Ghost Warrior franchise and 2 million units of Lords of the Fallen. Now, this developer / publisher is ready to lend a helping hand to other gamers and independent video game developers.

CI Games, Indie Developers, Indie Games, Indie Dev, Indie Publisher, Indie Publisher, United Label, Publisher for Indie Devs, video game news, gaming news, latest video games, indie dev news, indie game news

The massive success of Cuphead, Celeste, and countless other indie games prove there’s a hunger from the community to experience more independent titles. There are thousands of individuals with a passion for creating video games that have the chance to see their game played by millions. Climbing the mountain to the top alone is a treacherous journey. Organizations like CI Games wants to give creators the support they need to reach their goals. Sometimes, a little helping hand is all a talented person or team needs to achieve their vision.

For aspiring or long-time game developers looking for a strategic partnership with United Label, contact information can be found their website. It’s a big world of indie games out there, having the right team behind a project can mean the difference between success and a game that gets lost in the crowd.

Season 16 began on January 18th and will last through March 17th.

Diablo 3 Cosmetic Rewards Incoming

Some of the new cosmetic rewards players can earn include the Helm and Shoulder Armor of the Conquerer Set. Fans are also able to earn a new portrait frame and the Wings of Lempo, which are designed after those on a monarch butterfly. Players that create a Seasonal Character will be given the buffs associated with the "Ring of Royal Grandeur", which will make it easier to earn set bonuses and create unique armor combinations.

Those that take part in Season 16 will have the opportunity to receive an extra stash tab by completing seasonal challenges. New conquests also offer their own rewards for those willing to take them on. Blizzard's official blog grants a closer look at Season 16's challenges and the rewards associated with them.

Quality of Life, Improved!

The blog post highlights the quality of life changes that Blizzard has implemented, including removing legendary potions from players inventory to clear up space. One of the biggest and most requested changes has been made to Primal Legendaries, which will now shine a beam of light and be marked on the mini map so they are almost impossible to miss. Players are not able to earn Primal Legendaries until they've completed their first Greater Rift 70 or higher on solo play. With such a difficult item to obtain, this beam of light and marking the items on players minimaps will make sure no gamer gets ripped off.

We here at Gigamax are big fans of the Diablo series and can't wait to start earning the latest rewards in the action RPG. For all the latest details on Diablo 3, be sure to keep checking back with us here at GigamaxGames.com.

The Division 2 Story Trailer Reveals Game Details

A new story trailer for The Division 2 has been officially revealed by Ubisoft, and it gives an in-depth look into what the narrative of the RPG shooter will look like in post apocalyptic Washington D.C.

This time players will take control of an Agent in The Division that survived the events of the first game and has to head to the capital of the United States. The narrator of the trailer says that the nation is divided and slipping into a civil war. The players character is thus given a mission to restore democracy to the country and take out various terrorist groups.

The Division 2: New Story, New Gear

As well as revealing some interesting story details, the trailer shows off new gear that will be available to players such as the drone and crossbow. It also appears like players will have more of an impact on the environment as explosions and bullet fire seemingly tear apart a variety of structures.

The Division 2 is set to release on March 15th, 2019 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Unfortunately for Steam users, the game will only release on Epic Games new store and Ubisoft's online market on the PC. A private beta is being held for any that pre-ordered the title on February 7th.

This franchise had an interesting life. The first game was exciting at first but appeal quickly faded for the majority. It held on to a strong following of devoted agents and Ubisoft did support the game over its lifecycle. Now that The Division 2 is releasing, and the developer had a chance to see what gamers want from the experience, the franchise has a good chance of making a massive impact in March.

There is sure to be even more gameplay available to see how the game stacks up against the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 versions.  With its upcoming release on the Nintendo Switch, be sure to keep checking back on GigamaxGames.com for the latest on Uppercut Games.
