The Division 2 Story Trailer Reveals Game Details

A new story trailer for The Division 2 has been officially revealed by Ubisoft, and it gives an in-depth look into what the narrative of the RPG shooter will look like in post apocalyptic Washington D.C.

This time players will take control of an Agent in The Division that survived the events of the first game and has to head to the capital of the United States. The narrator of the trailer says that the nation is divided and slipping into a civil war. The players character is thus given a mission to restore democracy to the country and take out various terrorist groups.

The Division 2: New Story, New Gear

As well as revealing some interesting story details, the trailer shows off new gear that will be available to players such as the drone and crossbow. It also appears like players will have more of an impact on the environment as explosions and bullet fire seemingly tear apart a variety of structures.

The Division 2 is set to release on March 15th, 2019 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Unfortunately for Steam users, the game will only release on Epic Games new store and Ubisoft's online market on the PC. A private beta is being held for any that pre-ordered the title on February 7th.

This franchise had an interesting life. The first game was exciting at first but appeal quickly faded for the majority. It held on to a strong following of devoted agents and Ubisoft did support the game over its lifecycle. Now that The Division 2 is releasing, and the developer had a chance to see what gamers want from the experience, the franchise has a good chance of making a massive impact in March.

Next Dragon Age Could Have Multiplayer Elements

The developer behind the next Dragon Age title, Bioware Edmonton posted some new jobs that seem to suggest multiplayer is coming to the sequel. The job title itself is "technical director", and it could be for the Dragon Age game that was teased during the 2018 Game Awards.

Dragon Age, bioware edmonton, dragon age multiplayer, new dragon age, dragon age news, gigamax, gigamax games

The job posting was initially reported by the entertainment news site, Gear Nuke, and it states that Bioware is looking for "the most senior engineering lead on the game team and a key member of the Dragon Age franchise leadership." The franchise technical director will "build and mentor the engineering team, build and execute the game technology plan, and define and direct the development process." They also need to have "experience developing multiplayer games."

Dragon Age Multiplayer Isn't All New

The previous title in the series Dragon Age: Inquisition, contained a multiplayer mode that did not tie back into the single player experience. In the game type, a group of players would move through a multi leveled dungeon as the difficulty of enemies increased at every tier, while higher level gear and powers were rewarded for conquering a floor. While Bioware could be expanding this mode for the next game, it's possible that the developer could be working on a brand new experience.

As of now, there isn't much information on the new Dragon Age due to Bioware's silence on the game. Although, it has been confirmed that the title has been in production for quite some time and that a core group of series veterans are working on the title, so fans can expect big things. Metro Exodus – Story Trailer and Impressions

Metro Exodus crawls out from beneath the streets of Russia on February 15th, 2019. Deep Silver and 4A Games gave audiences a taste of what’s to come with a brand new Story Trailer, yesterday 1/8/19. New characters, environments, challenges, and dangers await anyone that picks up a copy of Metro Exodus. Players will venture across the nuclear Russian wasteland and embark on a journey that will take them from Moscow to the Summer sands of the Caspian desert.

The Aurora Heads East

Metro Exodus will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.

Metro Exodus Story Trailer - Escaping the Metro

Anna, the protagonist’s Artyom’s wife can be heard narrating the intense trailer. The short, 2 minute thirty second clip was enough to instill the massive amount of stress Artyom’s team of Spartan Rangers face as they explore the decolate Russian wasteland. A broken landscape trying to recover after nuclear devastation is at first all people may see. However, the struggle of this determined crew highlights the importance of searching for some peace in a time of war. Taking solace in a breath of fresh air will still not be enough to protect the Spartan Rangers from the evil that lurks beyond the Metro.

It's a Rough Life Above Ground

Gamers will board the Aurora, a weaponized steam train as Artyom, Anna and Spartan Rangers move East. Searching for more survivors and some kind of civilization, players will need to scavenge, craft, and fight in order to survive.

The press release emphasized that the “gripping story” will elevate classic Metro gameplay with massive, new, non-linear levels. Dynamic weather and day/night cycles are included, expected to enhance the immersion level. The developer also added a “choose your fate” mechanic, allowing players choices to determine if some comrades will live or die.

Pre-Order Bundle Incoming!

Along with the Story Trailer reveal, Deep Silver and Microsoft showed off the Xbox One X Metro Saga Bundle. The bundle is currently available for pre-order and it includes a 1TB Xbox One X Console, all three Metro games; Metro 2033 Redux, Metro: Last Light Redux, and the new Metro Exodus. MSRP for the bundle comes in at $499.00, the usual cost of a 1TB Xbox One X on its own.

Metro Exodus, metro exodus bundle, metro exodus xbox bundle, xbox one x metro saga bundle

The last Metro game to come out, Metro: Last Light released in 2013. Metro Exodus is positioned to be a massive upgrade from the previous title. If the trailer is any indication of how the full game will turn out, Metro fans are in for a thrilling and unforgettable adventure.

Nvidia Reveals RTX 2060 Video Card & Announces Price

Nvidia used some time at their CES 2019 press conference to reveal their new video card, the GeForce RTX 2060. It launches into the RTX 20 series of cards next week on January 15th with a price tag that starts at $350 deepening on the make and modle.

Nvidia's RTX 2060 is Powerful

The tech company made plenty of claims about the new video card's performance and it is said to be on par or even better than the GTX 1070 Ti. According to the CEO of Nvidia, Jensen Huang, the GeoForce RTX 2060 can run Battlefield V at 1440p resolution at an average of 60 FPS. The company showed off plenty of benchmarks and metrics that compared the card to last year's mid range card, the GTX 1060. The RTX can allegedly run 1.4 to 1.9 times better than the GTX at 1440p with high settings.

The RTX line of video cards from Nvidia has the ability to perform real time ray tracing, which directly affects reflections, lighting, shadows and makes them look more life like. Other video cards have struggled with how taxing ray tracing is on the device but the RTX 2060 features RT cores directly responsible for handling the task to reduce its impact on frame rate. RTX cards utilize an AI based antialiasing technique known as DLSS, which offers better image quality with a minimal impact to the overall performance of the game.

To help sell the card, Nvidia is offering a few deals for those that purchase either the RTX 2060 or 2070. Specifically, early buyers will get to choose between a copy of Battlefield V or Bioware's upcoming RPG, Anthem. Purchasers of the higher end card, the RTX 2080 or RTX 2080 Ti, will get both games with the device. For more information on the card, check out Nvidia's page for the RTX 2060 right here.

Katamari Damacy Reroll || YouTube Playlist

Katamari Damacy was a hit when it came out in 2004. It was developed by Namco and Now Products for the PlayStation 2 and Microsoft Windows. This puzzle-action game is so strange, explaining it won’t do it justice. The only way to really understand what Katamari Damacy is all about is to watch some actual gameplay.

Now available for Nintendo Switch, Katamari Damacy is back with Katamari Damacy Reroll. Find the Katamari Damacy Reroll playlist, below!

Katamari Damacy Reroll || Nintendo Switch Gameplay Playlist

Rolling around a tiny world, collecting junk on the Katamari, slowly growing and engulfing larger and larger pieces of junk. That might sound like nonsense, but it’s the core concept behind Katamari Damacy. Players are tasked with rolling a ball around the world, collecting junk to expand its size. They need to make their ball a certain size to complete a level. With a strict time-limit, gamers need to act fast and navigate this clumsy ball around the map to get their Katamari to the right size.

It might sound simple, it may be strange, but the release of Katamari Damacy Reroll has gamers excited for a reason. This game is a unique and fresh take on puzzle games even 14 years after its release. Long-time fans and those just discovering Katamari Damacy for the first time are in for a treat. The Nintendo Switch is the perfect console to enjoy this silly adventure.

Next Call of Duty Could Be Modern Warfare Sequel

Most are aware that Call of Duty's development goes through a host of different companies and if the cycle continues as expected, Infinity Ward is next. A recent series of tweets of skeletons and skulls from the senior communication manager at Infinity Ward, Ashton Williams, could indicate the studios involvement in the project and potentially points toward what direction the game may take. Although, the tweets do not include any text, fans started to speculate on what the cryptic series of messages could mean.

Modern Warfare Sequel, Is That You?

Infinity Ward is the studio behind Call of Duty: Ghosts, which led many to believe that the messages were teasing Ghosts 2. However, according to Jason Schreier, editor at Kotaku, this is not accurate. Before Infinity Ward created Ghosts and Infinite Warfare, they were the team responsible for the widely popular Modern Warfare series. Fans may remember one of Modern Warfare 2's main characters was Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley who wore a face mask with a skull pattern on it. Many fans suspect that the skull tweets could be indicating a sequel featuring the character.

Modern Warfare Remastered Gameplay, Below!

The tweets could also indicate that a Modern Warfare 2 remaster is on the way, considering how well Modern Warfare Remastered sold. The remake was sold alongside Infinite Warfare which could mean that the next Call of Duty will have a special edition that includes Modern Warfare 2 remastered. This is all speculation though, and the tweets could just be a tease for a brand new line of Call of Duty games, or, have nothing to do with the series at all.

The last Call of Duty to release was Treyarch's, Black Ops 4, and was the first in the series not to feature a proper single player campaign. It was also the first time a Battle Royale mode was added to the game. As of now, it is not clear whether the next game will have either of these features. The New Things We Love In Pokemon Let’s Go

With the Pokemon Let’s Go games releasing about a month ago, we have had time to analyze the changes to the series. While the changes for these titles are pretty massive, the core gameplay of the Pokemon series still shines through. To celebrate the massive success of these titles we have made up a list of changes that we fell in love with. With beautiful graphics and redesigned assets, these games pull in fans both new and old. These changes help make Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee the Kanto remakes we have been desperately hoping for.

Chaining Pokémon Gets Insane

A totally new feature to the series is chaining catches. Once you catch a Pokemon it starts a chain. The more you catch of the same Pokemon the higher the chain gets. Chains make rarer Pokemon show up, including evolutions you wouldn’t normally see wandering around.

pokemon lets go, pokemon let's go, pokemon lets go pikachu, pokemon lets go eevee, pokemon go changes, pokemon lets go shiny, pokemon lets go shiny hunting, pokemon lets go catching shinies, gigamax, gigamax games, video game news

You can also use chains for mass leveling. The experience you can get from a chain can even rival that of what you would get running through the Elite Four with your team multiple times. Things get even crazier if you use lures to make Pokemon pop up faster. The only way to break a chain once it starts is by catching another Pokemon or having a Pokemon run away.

Catching Shinies is Easier

Catching shinies is one of the most tedious parts of the video game. To get a shiny it takes hours of searching, resetting your game, and hatching eggs. Let’s Go has made this easier by adding in the shiny charm and making chains raise the chance of encountering a shiny.

pokemon lets go, pokemon let's go, pokemon lets go pikachu, pokemon lets go eevee, pokemon go changes, pokemon lets go shiny, pokemon lets go shiny hunting, pokemon lets go catching shinies, gigamax, gigamax games, video game news

You can also see the Pokemon walking around the environment, this saves you time by letting you only willingly encounter the Pokemon you are interested in. The Shiny charm makes your odds go from 1 in 4,096 to 1 in 1,365 and chaining makes the odds go up to 1 in 315. Combining the methods makes your chance go up to 1 in 273 with the odds capping when you chain exactly 31 Pokemon. While this won't make catching a shiny a breeze, Let’s Go gives you a far better chance than any other title in the past.

They Kept Away From HM Slaves

If you have played the original Blue, Yellow, or Red versions of Pokemon, then you had an HM slave. HM slaves are a Pokemon you select to put a permanent terrible move set on just to progress through the game.

pokemon lets go, pokemon let's go, pokemon lets go pikachu, pokemon lets go eevee, pokemon go changes, pokemon lets go shiny, pokemon lets go shiny hunting, pokemon lets go catching shinies, gigamax, gigamax games, video game news

In the first Pokemon games this included moves such as rock smash, flash, and cut. These moves were weak in attack power and made you have a near useless Pokemon taking up one of your six slots. Let’s Go teaches HM’s to your Pikachu who is permanently with you. HM’s are no longer count as Pokemon moves, but instead, they are used only outside of battle and happen automatically when you press A on an area where a special move is needed to progress.

Realistic Proportions

While Pokemon is a fantasy game, the fans are hardcore about the portrayal of the in-game monsters they love. These games do a perfect job at realistically portraying the size of your Pokemon partners.

pokemon lets go, pokemon let's go, pokemon lets go pikachu, pokemon lets go eevee, pokemon go changes, pokemon lets go shiny, pokemon lets go shiny hunting, pokemon lets go catching shinies, gigamax, gigamax games, video game news

Even going so far as to have Onix’s head cut off inside of some homes you visit. Bigger Pokemon such as Persian are also rideable. Each individual Pokemon is size-adjusted when out of the Pokeball to give you a better feel for the proportions of each different monster in the game. This makes us curious to see how the team would handle the portraying the massive Pokemon Wailord.

The Gyms Are Redone

Let’s face it, the gyms in Gen. 1 were pretty limited thanks to both developer budget and the graphical limitations of the original Gameboy. While some gyms like Vermillion cities trash can puzzle where a little bit more interesting, by today's standards things were bland.

pokemon lets go, pokemon let's go, pokemon lets go pikachu, pokemon lets go eevee, pokemon go changes, pokemon lets go shiny, pokemon lets go shiny hunting, pokemon lets go catching shinies, gigamax, gigamax games, video game news

To spice things up, the gyms have been completely re-dun and the puzzles you face to get to the gym leaders have been touched up. This gives the game a fresh twist for those who have played the originals or the remakes for the Game Boy Advance.

Trading Is More Prominent

To be honest, trading with NPC’s in most Pokemon games was a joke, unless you really are into getting common Pokemon you could catch elsewhere.

pokemon lets go, pokemon let's go, pokemon lets go pikachu, pokemon lets go eevee, pokemon go changes, pokemon lets go shiny, pokemon lets go shiny hunting, pokemon lets go catching shinies, gigamax, gigamax games, video game news

Let’s Go actually breathes more life into trading by placing trainers around the map that have hordes of Alola Pokemon. Best of all, no matter how many times you trade them, they never seem to run out. If you prefer nostalgia though don't worry, there are still some pretty horrible “trades” left in the game that can score you a Magikarp for just 500 pokedollars.

Gym Leaders Aren’t Cardboard

Outside of the comics and anime series gym leaders are pretty flat characters. While this was worked on after the first games, even the Fire Red and Leaf Green reboots didn’t breathe too much life into the characters.

pokemon lets go, pokemon let's go, pokemon lets go pikachu, pokemon lets go eevee, pokemon go changes, pokemon lets go shiny, pokemon lets go shiny hunting, pokemon lets go catching shinies, gigamax, gigamax games, video game news

While the leaders don’t have their own story arcs, you can now find them wandering around areas of the map. Gym leaders now pop-up in other towns and have pre-recorded events. You even encounter Brock later in the game who is sad that leader Erika turned him down. These little interactions just give a little bit more life to the world and are a delight for old time fans.

Pikachu and Eevee Aren’t Required

Both Pikachu and Eevee can’t be evolved and that’s completely fine since they don’t need to stay in my party. In fact, removing these Pokemon from the party doesn’t really affect much.

pokemon lets go, pokemon let's go, pokemon lets go pikachu, pokemon lets go eevee, pokemon go changes, pokemon lets go shiny, pokemon lets go shiny hunting, pokemon lets go catching shinies, gigamax, gigamax games, video game news

They still hang out on your shoulder/hat and anytime an obstacle pop-ups they will happily remove it. Unlike in Pokemon Yellow though you can’t trade off or get rid of your starter. This means that no matter what you do neither Pikachu or Eevee will ever leave your side or free up space in your box. On the bright side, they are made to be stronger than a normal Pikachu or Eevee making them pretty useful in battle if trained up.
