The developer behind Crysis, Crytek, has a new game on the way. Fans who take a few extra steps can play the first person, matchmaking survival/bounty hunting title, Hunt: Showdown, on Xbox One in Beta form right now.
To access the Beta, players will need to log into the Xbox Insider Hub on their Xbox One. From there you’ll see Hunt: Showdown. Then they will need to click the join button and the download will start.
Crytek pointed out to fans that space in the beta is limited and that spots in the game are on a first come first serve basis, so those interested in testing out this unique experience will need to act quickly.
This play test will run until 9 AM ET on Monday, May 20th. Since it’s only a beta Crytek warns that their may be bugs and other issues due to the game being unfinished. The company wants fans to report all problems they see so they can improve the experience for everybody.
“There are a lot of ways to play Hunt. You can work alone, or you can work in pairs,” Crytek says. “You can take a smaller risk and grind for XP, or you can risk it all and try to take out every enemy, every Hunter, and every boss you come across. And those are just a few of the options. There are so many strategic possibilities that players have a lot of space to make the experience theirs.”
