The Overwatch League is gearing up to enter Week 11. The Overwatch League new Hero Pool and Week 11 schedule has been announced and can be found below.
Widowmaker, McCree, Reinhardt, and Brigitte are all sitting out of the Overwatch League Week 11. This new Hero Pool system started during Week 5 of this season. It is intended to add more variety to the meta each week.
Blizzard’s Hero Pool system was not as straightforward at first. The exact number of heroes available would be inconsistent from week to week and Hero Pools for Competitive Play and the Overwatch League were different. Together the Overwatch League and the community worked out some of its flaws. Week 11 is the culmination of that effort. Each week there will be a unified Hero Pool. Both the Overwatch League and Competitive Play will have the same Hero Pools to create a more cohesive experience.

All Week 11 matches are listed in the graphic below. San Fransisco Shock (SFS), 2019 Overwatch League champions will be competing against Dallas Fuel (DAL) on Friday, April 17. Hangzhou Spark (HZS) fans will be able to catch a double dose of excitement during Week 11. HZA will be facing off on Saturday and Sunday against Shanghai Dragons (SHD) and Guangzhou Charge (GZC) respectively. SHD, CDH, and GZC all will have two matches this upcoming weekend as well.
Week 11 marks just 16 weeks to go until the end of another historic Overwatch League season. The second it was announced Blizzard would be hosting their own eSports league, the world was sold. Overwatch is still one of the most popular hero-based first-person shooters available half a decade after its release. New heroes, a massive competitive and casual community, and consistent support from Blizzard keep the game alive and moving forward. The updated Hero Pools system is yet another welcomed addition.
