The very first season of Pokemon Go’s Go Battle League is currently underway and starting soon players will have a way to monitor how they are performing in the contest. Niantic has officially announced that it will be rolling out leaderboards for the Go Battle League starting Friday, April 10th.
The leaderboard update is set to arrive after the Go Battle League shifts from the Ultra League to the Master League. The leaderboard will display the top 500 players along with the team they represent, rankings, ratings, and total matches. Niantic says that the leaderboard will be updated every day between 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. EST., and standings will be based on the previous days rankings.
To celebrate the launch of the ranking system, Niantic is holding a special Marill themed event in Pokemon Go this weekend. The event will take place on April 12th. Players will have an increased chance of encountering a Marill the more Go Battle League matches they win between 11 a.m to 2 p.m local time on that day. Competitors are also guaranteed to see a Marill on their first and third wins as a basic reward for participating in the event.
On top of all that, players will also have the chance to earn extra Stardust each time they catch a Marill during the event. Niantic is increasing the amount of Go Battle League matches fans can complete from 5 to 20. Those interested can read more about the Go Battle League leaderboard update over on Pokemon Go’s website.
Pokemon Go’s spring 2020 event is currently underway until April 16th.
