Another week-long event is about to kickoff in Pokemon Go. Adventure Week is set to start on Tuesday, June 4th, and it gives trainers a chance to earn a variety of extra rewards, catch rare rock-type Pokemon, and a higher chance to catch a shiny Pokemon.
Over the course of Adventure Week, Geodude, Rhyhorn, Omanyte, Aron, Lileep, Anorith, and other Rock-type Pokemon will appear more frequently than they normally do. Certain type rock-types will also hatch from 2 km eggs like Onix, Larvitar, Lileep, Anorith, and Shieldon. Onix and other rock-types will appear in Raid Battles. On top of all that, trainers will have the chance to catch Shiny versions of Onix, Lileep, and Anorith.
Players will earn four times the amount of Buddy Candy over the course of Adventure Week. Trainers will also receive 10x bonus XP when they spin a Photo Disc at a new PokeStop for the first time. Fans that have Adventure Sync turned on will obtain 50,000 Stardust and 15 Rare Candies when they walk 50 km.
Lastly, Niantic will be distributing special Field Research tasks during Adventure Week. Players can find these tasks by spinning Photo Discs at PokeStops.
