Critically acclaimed and devastatingly challenging, the Gigamax Games crew couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get hands-on with Dark Souls Remastered on Switch. It’s been a long time since playing the original Dark Souls and now having the chance to play on the Nintendo Switch is both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because the world can experience Dark Souls one more time. A curse because gamers are once again struggling with this incredibly challenging and frustrating story.

Dark Souls Remastered looks fantastic on Switch. The controls are comfortable but the fact that the B button is “select” does cause some issues. It seems as though every third-party game comes to the Switch is a massive hit. However, the button layouts when they move over to Nintendos latest console have a tendency to be a bit strange. After a little time behind the new controls on Switch, muscle memory begins to kick in and it all falls into place.
