Those that follow the very popular anime series My Hero Academia will surely be pleased to hear that the upcoming action title based on the show has a confirmed release date for the West. Although, Bandai Namco has yet to reveal many other details on the unique anime game that is set for this year. My Hero One Justice will be available for PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC on October 26th, 2018. For a brief look at the game check out the release date reveal below.
The new trailer only shows a very quick look at gameplay but it certainly builds plenty of hype for fans of My Hero Academia. Bandai Namco described My Hero One Justice as an arena brawler where players can decide to take the hero or villain path on their mission for justice. Fans will be able to utilize the cast of heroes Quirks (superpowers) and call in two sidekicks to activate very powerful attacks that will use the environment to cause even more damage to the opponents. The game also includes vertical environments, as players are able to scale the sides of buildings and walls to get a better angle on enemies.
My Hero One Justice will let fans of My Hero Academia choose between a ton of characters from the hit anime/manga. This includes Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, Tomura Shigaraki, All Might, and many other characters fans have grown to love (or hate). Each playable character also features an “Explosive Attack” that lets the hero use their Quirk in a big way. Pre-orders are not live for the game yet but will be up soon for interested buyers.
Those excited by the initial announcement feared that the game wouldn’t make it to the West at all due to the last game based on the anime, My Hero Academia: Battle For All, only released for the 3DS in Japan back in 2016.
