Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite Playlist

Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite Playlist

It’s been 5 years since the release of the last Marvel vs. Capcom game and finally, Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite is here. Surrounded by controversy, this Marvel vs. Capcom game has confused many gamers. X-Men aren’t included and the character models have been making headlines because of their odd appearances. Even with these issues, the game still delivers as an exciting fighting game.

Combos’ seem easier to pull off and the other than the character models, the graphics and environments are spectacular. The mixed reactions about the quality of the game still don’t outshine the fact that Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite is still a great fighter and welcomed addition to the Marvel vs. Capcom franchise.

Recently, Gigamax attended a Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite Tournament hosted by Mid-Tier Summit Gaming in Long Island, New York. It was amazing to see local gamers pull off some professional moves and stun the crowd with action-packed battles. You can learn more about MTS’s latest tournament, here.

Absolver Is Almost Here: What To Expect

Absolver Is Almost Here: What To Expect

Fighting games and more fighting games, they’ve been on a roll. From For Honor to Injustice then around to Tekken 7, the industry continues to embrace this classic format.  Sloclap, the developer of the new title Absolver wanted to do something a bit different. Absolver is a break from the norm and it looks as though there will be plenty of content to enjoy. Things have been relatively quiet in regard to media coverage but it’s quickly picking up as the release date approaches.

Sloclap and Insight

Sloclap is a new studio made up of former Ubisoft Paris developers. Absolver will be their first title and they’re already making waves with their “online combat RPG”.  sloclap, absolver, latest games, gigamax, gigamax games

“We think the world would be a much better place if there were no guns,” creative lead Pierre de Margerie.  He continues, “Then we could finally focus on important things, like sword fighting and how to kill a man with one punch.”

What’s Different?

Players will have the option of choosing between three different classes or ‘styles’. The first is the Forsaken style which has a concentration on parrying. The Kahlt Method’s special ability allows them to absorb damage. Finally, Windfall style is a master in avoiding attacks. Each one of the three different styles uses their special ability to set up special combinations to destroy their enemy.

Though these are the three main styles, according to the trailer there are others to be found as players advance through the game. Beyond just being able to choose different styles, there is even more customization in regard to specific moves for each variation.

It may seem like just another fighting game but Absolver does something a little bit different that could mean big things for the genre as a whole. Dubbed a multiplayer combat RPG, players can group up to fight their way through dungeons. This could add an interesting element to the game, making it more than just another fighter.

Expected to drop on PS4 and PC on August 29th, it won’t be long until gamers get their hands on this unique fighter. The first time the world got a hint of Absolver was E3 last year and people have been patiently waiting to see what this game has to offer. With little coverage, the trailer gives a decent look at the different combat styles and mechanics.

Come take a step into the world of Absolver and learn about the Prospects journey as they hone their combat skills.

Big News, Stay Tuned!

Gigamax Games was lucky enough to be put on the watch list for a review copy of Absolver. We have our fingers crossed and hope that we’re able to offer a preview into how the game actually plays. We’ll be keeping a close eye on this anticipated fighter and will report back with any updates or insight into Sloclaps new release.

Fighting games have always have a special place in the gaming communities heart. They continue to perform well and the new powerful consoles allow these developers to add in even more exciting content. Be sure to check back on to keep updated on any new information, the review and Absolver gameplay.

Injustice 2 – New Story Trailer and Info! with GIGAMAX

Injustice 2 Coming 2017

NetherRealm Studios just released another incredible story trailer for Injustice 2 and we’re excited. A tormented Superman, Robin makes an appearance and Brainiac shows up. So many juicy bits of information were teased in the short, 3 minute trailer. The first Injustice offered hours of excitement as the innovative fighting game delivered some impressive mechanics and environments. Let’s see what’s in store for the next leg in the series.

Some of the characters that were shown in the new trailer confirm rumors that had been floating around about the hero roster. It seems as though Brainiac’s appearance at the end of the trailer suggests that this villain will be the focal point of the action. A once again distressed Superman makes his debut in the trailer and it seems as though he will be playing an important role as the story unfolds. Supergirl also shows up, but she is definitely not feeling like herself. Potentially brain-washed, she looks ready to kill anyone who stands in her way.

Official Word From

When looking at the official Injustice Website, a few more bits of information become available. Players have the choice between three different game versions; Standard, Digital Deluxe Edition and Ultimate Edition. The Digital Deluxe edition includes 3 DLC fighters, one Premier skin and one exclusive gear shader pack. No word yet on which 3 DLC fighters the Digital Deluxe edition will include but the skin offered is for Supergirl. The Ultimate Edition offers some incredible content right out of the gate. 9 DLC fighters, 3 premier skins for the Flash, Green Lantern and Supergirl and 2 exclusive gear shader packs are all included with the $99.99 dollar Ultimate Edition.

NetherRealm Studios did confirm some other characters and these include; Aquaman, Atrocitus, Batman, Blue Beetle, Deadshot, Darkseid, The Flash, Gorilla Grodd, Harley Quinn, Supergirl, Superman, Wonder Woman and Robin. Rumors are floating around that Poison Ivy will also join the party, but those cannot be confirmed at this time.

With all the fun that the first Injustice brought, it’s exciting to think about what they plan to do with Injustice 2. The first game offered some truly unique mechanics and environments. Hopefully the hype train doesn’t start gaining too much momentum before more details become clear. As more information becomes available, be sure to check back at Gigamax Games for the latest developments surrounding Injustice 2!
