Mega Man fans will be excited to hear Mega Man 11 will be released on October 2nd, 2018. Capcom made the announcement on Tuesday, 5/29/18 that their new game will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. Mega Man 11 will be the first Mega Man the world has seen since Capcom released Mega Man 10 back in 2010.
The impending release of Mega Man 11 wasn’t the only thing for gamers to get excited about. Capcom revealed to Japan a brand-new Mega Man amiibo. It will be included with the Collector’s Package in Japan but Western gamers will need to pick up Mega Man 11 amiibo Edition. The Western version also includes 4 stickers, a Dr. Wily logo patch, a “stage select” microfiber cloth, the game, and the amiibo.
Celebrating 30 Years of Mega Man
Gamers have been enjoying this classic character for 30 years and the developer is making it clear they’re not done yet. In the gameplay above, it’s obvious Capcom made some amazing improvements to this classic world. The easiest change to spot was their move away from the 8-bit art style. Mega Man and the enemies are much more “life-like” in this latest game. The new 3D graphics are stunning but the game still maintains the classic feel of the franchise. Mega Man 11 will feature, what seems to be, high-quality voice acting as well.
Capcom isn’t just improving the look of their game, they’re adding some new systems as well. The trailer shows off the Double Gear system where players can use new abilities to slow time or make Mega Man stronger. However, there is a limit to the Double Gear system. Using it will cause the overheat bar to rise and if it reaches the top, players will have to wait before using Double Gear again.

The latest Capcom crossover event for Monster Hunter World is now available. While players can still take part in the Spring Blossom Festival event that’s currently going on, there’s a new quest available on PS4 and Xbox One. It allows fans to get their hands on the crafting materials necessary to make the Palico gear set.
The Event Quest is called “A Rush of Blood”, and to complete the mission players must hunt two Odagarons in the arena. The twist is that one of the monsters is a very cute miniaturized version of the species, other than that though the quest is a standard 7 star quest that has a time limit of 50 minutes and allows players a maximum of three faints. Completing the event will award challengers with Mega Man Tickets, which is one of the resources necessary for making the gear. To craft the full set, players will need to complete the mission several times.
Time to Get Forging
When fans have collected enough tickets to make the gear, they will need to head to the Smithy and scroll to the Forge Palico Equipment section and click Full Armor Sets. Select Mega Man gear to craft the two pieces of High Rank armor consisting of the Mega Man Helmet and Mega Man Suit, which costs 3 Mega Man Tickets.
Can’t Forget Weapons!
To make the weapon, players will need to head to the Standard Equipment section of the Forge Palico equipment tab. The Mega Buster can be found toward the bottom of the High Rank weapons area. This piece of gear costs an additional two Mega Man Tickets, which means to craft the full set players will need to collect a total of five tickets.
One of the most interesting aspects of the Palico gear set that was teased during its initial announcement is the different classic Mega Man tunes that will play as the Hunters fight. However this will only happen during the event quest, unfortunately, players won’t hear the music during their regular adventures.
Hunters only have a short time to complete the gear set as the event ends on April 27th. Players that are interested in the Spring Blossom Fest greatsword and armor only have until April 19th to get the spring themed gear.
A new trailer for the upcoming brawler, Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite revealed a ton of new information about the game. The debut is set for September 19th on PS4, Xbox One and PC but the more important reveal was 8 characters that are joining the fray. The story trailer also offers a look at the new villains that are ready to destroy the multiverse.
Two Universes Become One
Capcom will be bringing back a number of familiar face such as Chun-Li, Strider and Chris Redfield. While Marvel also had their share of iconic characters shown off like Hulk, Hawkeye, Thor and Rocket Raccoon. These two universes are combining to bring down the Marvel antagonist, Ultron, who has combined his powers with the villain from Mega Man X, Sigma.
Both of the villains formed an alliance and forced the universes together. This is all in an attempt to release a virus that will let them reign over the two worlds. The battle for the multiverse will take place throughout a cinematic story mode which is a new addition for the series.
Capcom also revealed two new stages making their way into the game. Both Avengers Tower and Throne Room will be playable at launch. These maps are sure to please Marvel fans as they are both located in the universe.
Their will reportedly be multiple iterations of Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite. Aside from the standard version, players will be able to pick up a deluxe edition that includes the base game and the character pass, giving them access to six additional characters after launch, including Sigma. A Collector’s Edition will be available containing four character dioramas, Infinity Stone replicas and a steel book case that contains the deluxe edition of the game. The collector’s edition is set at the hefty price of $199.99.
