PUBG Gets Massive New Update 21 Patch

PUBG may need to compete with Fortnite, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and Battlefield V in the Battle Royale Space but that hasn't stopped Bluehole from staying current with their take on the genre. The most recent update adds plenty of new stuff and fixes an extensive amount of bugs. Referred to as Update 21, this patch brings a new mode, weapon, vehicle, weapon attachment, and reward system.

Update 21 Answers Requests

Update 21 also adds a much-requested feature to the game, a training mode that allows players to practice with the collection of tools available in multiplayer matches. This training area is set on a small island based map and contains fourteen zones for practicing different situations. Some of these areas include ramps, roads with sharp turns, gun ranges, a parachute practice zone, a location for rooftop free running, and an explosives range.

Bluehole added a new gun to all three multiplayer maps called the MK47 Mutant as well. This rifle takes 7.62 ammo and has a 20 round magazine. The gun also has two firing modes which include single shot and two round burst. Almost all rifle attachments can be affixed to the rifle, except stocks.

The jungle island based map, Sanhok, will be receiving a new three-person motorcycle known as the Tukashai. While not the fastest vehicle in the game, it handles offroad better than any other bike.

Update 21 contains an objective system that adds rewards for completing a variety of different tasks such as picking up teammates or damage dealt with a single attack. Players will now have the ability to mark points on the compass so their squad has a better idea of where callouts are located. A new laser sight has also made its way to PUBG that fits on the bottom of rifles. Like in most games, it increases accuracy, but those with it equipped risk giving up their position.

For a full look at what Update 21 changed, find the full patch notes on the Steam message board. With PUBG out on Xbox One, there's sure to be plenty more updates in the future so be sure to keep checking back with us here at GigamaxGames.com for all the details!

My Hero One’s Justice Let’s Play Page

My Hero One’s Justice is available in North America in October 2018 but the Gigamax Games crew didn’t want to wait. Find early gameplay in the My Hero One’s Justice Let’s Play page with Gigs and Mack.

My Hero One’s Justice Gameplay Playlist on YouTube

This fighting game incorporates characters from My Hero Academia and the Gigamax crew wanted to see if the fighting game lives up to expectations. Unlocking the Japanese version on a North American Switch allowed Gigs and Mack to play the game early. The language barrier isn’t the biggest issue in the world and instead, this is a great time to make first impressions of the game without getting too distracted.

First Impressions and Gameplay

Overall the game doesn’t include too many fighters which is a bit of let down. With such a massive universe to pull from, My Hero One’s Justice would have been much more exciting if they incorporated more characters from My Hero Academia. The combat is flashy and the destructible environments keep the battles interesting but the move list being in Japanese limited Gigs and Macks ability to get into the intricacies behind the fighting mechanics. It’s not the best fighting game on the market today, but any My Hero Academia fan might love taking control of their favorite heroes.

Once the English version is available, the Gigamax Games crew will need to give My Hero One’s Justice another try. Playing the game in Japanese is a great way to get an early look but Gigs and Mack can’t help but feel like they’re missing some crucial elements that would make the fighter stand out.

Thank You For Watching!

This will be the place to find all the My Hero One’s Justice gameplay. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and watch! It means the world to everyone here at Gigamax Games.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout Gameplay Reveal Trailer

Gamers may be starting to get sick of hearing Battle Royale, but that hasn't stopped one of the biggest shooters in the world from adding the game mode to their upcoming release, Call of Duty Black Ops 4. The new mode is called Blackout and it has people talking. While Activision and Treyarch didn't offer the public too many details regarding their take on this insanely popular game type, the most recent trailer for the experience certainly clears up a lot of confusion.

Official Call of Duty: Blat Ops 4 - Blackout Battle Royale

In typical Call of Duty fashion, the trailer offers big explosions, firefights, and serious teamwork all set behind a hype-building song. Although, fans that look deeper will see a collection of details that offers the most in-depth look into Blackout yet. The gameplay footage shows a number of different tools and weapons being used by soldiers decked out in skins representing a multitude of characters long-time Call of Duty fans will recognize. Various scenes portray players utilizing the copious amount of vehicles at their disposal including helicopters, pick up trucks, ATVs, and boats.

Another massive bit of information that was revealed in the trailer is the addition of zombies, making Blackout the first major Battle Royale mode to incorporate the undead into the festivities. This obstacle will only appear in sections of the map, themed after the arenas players fought these creatures in past Call of Duty titles. The trailer shows a squad utilizing the classic Monkey Bomb to summon the creatures to an opposing team's location in an arena that looks reminiscent to the classic Asylum Zombie Mode map.

Call of Duty Fans Dream Come True

Blackout looks like a true love letter to the Call of Duty series. It has skins based on previous characters, guns from almost every generation, and even references to their most popular game modes. A Beta has been announced for the mode that will begin on September 10th on PS4 and September 14th on Xbox One/PC. In order to access the Beta, those interested in playing on console will need to pre-order Black Ops 4, although PC players don't need to buy the game to try out Blackout mode during the beta.

The Gigamax Games crew will be sure to capture gameplay of Call of Duty Blackout the second it's available. Check back on GigamaxGames.com soon to see for yourself what Call of Duty Blackout really brings to the table.

Modded Controller Review: Are Evil Controllers Worth The Money?

There’s an incredible world waiting for console gamers looking for more control over their video game experience.  Evil Controllers is a company that manufactures modded controllers for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and they offer a wide variety of options. Recently, Gigamax Games discovered the magic that is a modded controller. Adding paddles or buttons on the back of a controller can have a massive impact on how games are played.

Evil Controllers - PlayStation 4 Modded Controller Review

I was curious to see what all the fuss was about when it comes to these additional paddles on the back of a controller. I already had a cheap controller with extra buttons for my Xbox One and it was pretty cool but Evil Controllers looked like they were offering a substantial product. With an entire spread of mods to choose from, their services were much more in-depth than the knock-off pro-Xbox One controller I was already using.

Looking through Evil Controllers customization menu, it quickly became clear that this was going to be an investment that would improve the overall console gaming experience. The controller pictured above includes a custom faceplate, reprogrammable back paddles without sensitive buttons, standard grip, no “Master Mod”, OEM thumbsticks, custom colors and D-Pad and X, O, △, and ☐ buttons.

The paddles on the back of the controller aren’t exactly paddles but aren’t buttons either. Evil Controllers blends the two technologies making a larger, raised paddle-shaped button. This gives the gamer a large area to press, and they're also covered in rubber to improve grip. However, these larger, protruding button/paddles are extremely noticeable when picking up the controller for the first time. It had me worried about clicking extra buttons by accident but that concern ended up not being a huge issue. For reference, the back paddles take around as much force as pressing the X button.

Modded Controllers: Creating Comfortable Gameplay

Besides giving gamers an edge, modded controllers like the ones from Evil Controllers create a more comfortable gaming experience. Some MMO’s require gamers to use a “claw grip”, contorting their hands in order to reach all the buttons they need. Having extra paddles allows the gamer to hotkey their desired commands, all while using a standard grip. Not having to stretch to run through an entire rotation drastically improves gameplay. Also, there are obvious benefits for first-person shooters. Hotkeying lean right and lean left, switch weapons, and crouch in Rainbow Six Siege is nothing short of spectacular. Once the added controls become second-nature, it can have a monumental impact on performance.

There were plenty of other modifications to choose from, however, since it was the first time using this kind of controller on my main console, I didn’t want to over customize a controller to the point of it not being functional. Some of the other mods include custom thumbstick sizes, also known as “EVIL STICKS”. EVIL STICKS are designed to increase aim by reducing over correction and come in three sizes, 11mm, 15mm, and 18mm. Evil Controllers also offers a specialized Fortnite controller, designed to make building easier and includes weapon hotkeys.

Know What You're Buying

The Gigamax Games controller doesn't include “Master Mod”. This mod would make the controller not legal to use in tournaments because it enhances the controllers' software to improve gameplay. The Master Mod includes mods like Adjustable Rapid Fire, Drop Shot, Tactical Rapid Fire, Auto-Aim, Auto-Run, Fast Reload, Auto-Scope, Auto-Spot, and a bunch of other mods compatible with games like CoD, PUBG, GTA and many others. I chose not to add on the Master Mod because it sounded too much like cheating.

My brand new Evil Controller ended up being a dream come true. I was hesitant at first because I didn’t want to be accidentally clicking buttons in the middle of a game. Also, I’m not the most coordinated person in the world so the fear of not becoming comfortable with using four extra fingers while gaming was a serious concern. I quickly discovered that not only did these extra, reprogrammable paddles improve my Overwatch and Rainbow Six Siege performance, playing MMOs like Neverwinter and Elder Scrolls Online became much more comfortable.

A Few Hours Is All It Takes

After a few hours of gaming, I already created my programmable paddle layouts to fit the way I game. Quickly I realized that my hands were actually conforming to the new controller layout as well. It only took a few games of Overwatch and Rainbow Six Siege before having extra paddles felt natural and turned into second nature. The programmable option allowed me to essentially turn some additional paddles off to avoid any accidental clicks as well. The ability to reprogram the R2 and L2 paddles is something I haven't found a use for yet, but excited to give that a try if a game calls for it.

Accidental clicks can happen, usually when putting the controller down. The placement of the paddles along with the way they’re shaped and raised causes whatever you're resting the controller on to press the paddle down. This was only an issue when watching Netflix. When I would move the controller to grab a drink or get comfortable, I noticed I kept pressing down the back paddles. To avoid this slight annoyance, I used the reprogrammable feature to clear all the back paddles so they weren't hotkeyed to a button.

The Cold Hard Facts

Evil Controllers aren’t cheap. No high-end modded controller is going to be inexpensive but the controller showcased in this article came in at $219.74. It is a bit pricey, but the controller feels like a high-end piece of technology. The paddles feel sturdy and the faceplate, custom decal, and custom D-Pad and X, O, △, and ☐ buttons just look great.

The order for the Evil Controller was placed on August 19th and the controller showed up at my door on August 31st. Not only was the delivery time great, creating the controller was actually a great time, too. Evil Controller uses a comprehensive customization menu that makes the process easy and exciting. When it arrived, opening up that box and holding the same exact controller you created on their website was extremely satisfying. One concern I had was that “Gigamax” overlapped over the D-pad in the customization menu but it ended up coming out perfect.

Evil Controllers and Gigamax Games

Gigamax Games is an affiliate of Evil Controllers so every sale made through this link, Gigamax Games gets a commission. The Gigamax Games crew wanted to make sure that this company was selling quality merchandise before recommending their products to the Gigamax Games audience. After a long weekend with the PS4 Evil Controller, the controller lived up to expectations.

Be sure to stick around for another modded controller review from a different manufacturer. Gigs purchased an entirely different take on a modded controller so gamers will have an idea of the different options that are out there.

The Binding of Isaac: Repentance Revealed at PAX West

Fans of the hit indie game Binding of Isaac will be excited to hear that another massive expansion is making its way to the title. The upcoming update adds the very popular Anti-Birth mod into the core game and is named The Binding of Isaac: Repentance.

The big announcement was officially made by Binding of Isaac's developer, Nicalis, and was also shared out by the game's creator Edmund McMillen only a couple of days ago. Following the teaser, McMillen clarified a few more details about the expansion (in his own charming way of course).

The Binding of Isaac: Repentance Revealed at PAX West

Fans were initially confused on what Nicalis could be teasing, considering they already have another title on the way, The Legend of Bum-Bo, that is set to look deeper into the Binding of Isaac's lore. Although, The Binding of Isaac: Repentance turned out to be a surprise expansion for a game that fans thought was already complete.

Repentance is expected to add a ton of new content into the already jam-packed game. This includes new enemies, items, bosses, and an insane amount of new rooms for fans to fight their way through. On top of all that, a brand new secret ending that will certainly be the toughest challenge the game has ever seen was also included.

You can check out the initial teaser trailer above and for a more detailed look at The Binding of Isaac: Repentance take a look at Gamespot's off-screen gameplay demo. Always remember to check back with us here at GigamaxGames.com for the latest in gaming news and industry updates!

Night Trap – Nintendo Switch Let’s Play Page

Night Trap mixes a classic 80’s B-movie with outdated video game technology like the Sega CD. Even with all its flaws, Night Trap gameplay is unforgettable. Players watch as a move unfolds and they’re tasked with traping enemies that are attacking a house. The house has occupants inside that need to be protected. It might all sound strange, and that’s because it is.

Night Trap – Nintendo Switch Playlist

Playing modern video games makes it easy to forget just how far they’ve come in such a short amount of time. Night Trap was not the standard of the late 80’s early 90’s when it came to video games, but it shows how many different ways companies tried getting video games into the hands of the masses. Early on, gamers had to put up with a lot of weird inventions and some, of course, were not a success. This is also not to say it’s a terrible game. Overall, it was actually a great time on the Nintendo Switch. It is just painfully apparent that it’s an old game and there’s a reason modern video games don’t take after Night Trap.

Background and Gameplay

In the Night Trap playlist, Gigs and Mack learn a little more about the background of Night Trap. With a little context about its development, it makes sense how this game came to be. The developers faced some challenges and instead of the Sega CD, the game was originally designed to be played on VHS. This is what gives Night Trap its memorable and unique gameplay style.

Even though the Gigamax Games crew wouldn’t recommend this game if someone is searching for a fulfilling and expansive story, the game did have some redeeming qualities. A gamer looking for something a little different, or anyone interested in the history of video games might find this to be an entertaining experience.

Thank You For Watching!

Thank you all so much for taking the time to stop by the playlist page. This will be the place to find all the latest episodes of Night Trap with Gigamax Games.
