Most are aware that Call of Duty's development goes through a host of different companies and if the cycle continues as expected, Infinity Ward is next. A recent series of tweets of skeletons and skulls from the senior communication manager at Infinity Ward, Ashton Williams, could indicate the studiosinvolvement in the project and potentially points toward what direction the game may take. Although, the tweets do not include any text, fans started to speculate on what the cryptic series of messages could mean.
Infinity Ward is the studio behind Call of Duty: Ghosts, which led many to believe that the messages were teasing Ghosts 2. However, according to Jason Schreier, editor at Kotaku, this is not accurate. Before Infinity Ward created Ghosts and Infinite Warfare, they were the team responsible for the widely popular Modern Warfare series. Fans may remember one of Modern Warfare 2's main characters was Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley who wore a face mask with a skull pattern on it. Many fans suspect that the skull tweets could be indicating a sequel featuring the character.
Modern Warfare Remastered Gameplay, Below!
The tweets could also indicate that a Modern Warfare 2 remaster is on the way, considering how well Modern Warfare Remastered sold. The remake was sold alongside Infinite Warfare which could mean that the next Call of Duty will have a special edition that includes Modern Warfare 2 remastered. This is all speculation though, and the tweets could just be a tease for a brand new line of Call of Duty games, or, have nothing to do with the series at all.
The last Call of Duty to release was Treyarch's, Black Ops 4, and was the first in the series not to feature a proper single player campaign. It was also the first time a Battle Royale mode was added to the game. As of now, it is not clear whether the next game will have either of these features. We'll be sure to keep a close eye on any developments so be sure to keep checking back with us here at GigamaxGames.com.
Destiny 2's Warmind DLC is quickly approaching its release date. Many fans are already excited for what Bungie has planned for after their second expansion. The game's publisher, Activision, is teasing players with the promise of an unprecedented mode for not just Destiny 2, but all first-person shooters in general. Although, details of this new mode will not be revealed until E3 2018.
Activision's Big News
This news was revealed in a post-earnings conference call with investors where Activision's president, Cody Johnson, responded to how Bungie plans on continuing to improve the Destiny 2 experience through the rest of this year. Johnson added that the company recently invited some dedicated Destiny fans to the office to preview Warmind and their response was "very positive." Apparently, they were not only pleased with the upcoming expansion, but with the roadmap and teased fall content as well.
Johnson was sparse on details but said that the content is "an incredibly engaging new mode--one that introduces a whole new style of play for first-person shooter gaming generally and certainly for the shared-world shooter space that Destiny created. It's a really exciting development. It's one of the things we think will really speak to the community when it comes out in the fall." (https://bit.ly/2roqcJ9)
What Will The Fans Think?
While fans are surely sitting on the edge of their seat to see what Bungie has planned, Johnson clarified the full details will not be revealed until after Warmind is released. The company is expected to make their big reveal at E3 this year, which is taking place in LA on June 12th through 14th.
All of this information is part of Bungie's effort to help make their future content vision more visible to the community. Currently, the company laid out a roadmap that extends through the summer, but very little is known about the third expansion that is slated for this fall. The original Destiny faced some of the same criticism that Destiny 2 is receiving, while the first game made up for these mistakes with The Taken King expansion, fans are now eagerly awaiting to see if Warmind or the fall expansion will be the same saving grace.
Ubisoft may have just released a few Rainbow Six Siege Operators with the launch of Operation Chimera but dedicated fans may have found clues pointing toward the next two. Longtime players already knew that more operators come out with every seasonal expansion, although Ubisoft hasn't done a great job of keeping these heroes a secret before their named updates are released.
Thank You, Reddit!
This leak comes courtesy of a Reddit user by the name of Mr_Donald_Duck who has found images and names of two Italian operators in the PC version's files. Thanks to their crafty detective work, fans have a look at placeholder images that show each character and what names, Alibi and Maestro. Alibi is seen surrounded by translucent silhouettes of herself, while Maestro is equipped with a backpack and shotgun shells strapped to his chest.
Before this reveal another Reddit user, Artex3, shared information from the game's files that may point toward what players can expect from Maestro and Alibi's gadgets. These notes included references to holograms, decoys, and bulletproof cameras. The first two seem to point toward Alibi's ability, suggesting that she will be able to trick defensive players operating the cameras with fake versions of herself. Maestro, on the other hand, looks like he will be able to reinforce cameras for the defending team.
Leaks and Rumors
Keep in mind, while leaks like these may be exciting, they are still only rumors. Players may not see these operators in Year 3 or even ever. Things can change at any moment. However, as we mentioned earlier, it's not unusual for operators to get leaked before Ubisoft has the chance to announce them.
Rainbow Six Siege received their big Operation Chimera update in the begging of March which came packaged with the popular new Outbreak mode that has players returning to the game in droves. Unfortunately, this event ends on April 3rd but it could indicate when players may see a big new announcement. For all the latest on Rainbow Six Siege keep checking back with GigamaxGames.com!
Blizzard is hyping up fans with more than one new teaser this week. After their cryptic tweet detailing what everyone believes to be a new hero, the company is shifting its focus toward a new lore database that will offer insight into the stories behind the worlds favorite heroes. Blizzard "released" a letter Torbjörn wrote to his wife after suffering injuries on the battlefield and this is just the beginning.
The official Overwatch Twitter account revealed the information of a rather unsuccessful mission called "White Dome." Unfortunately, the operation didn't go as planned and an ambush led to Reinhart having to jump in and save Torbjörn after losing his arm.
The Lost Arm and Lore
Blizzard later updated the story to include the letter that Torbjörn wrote to his wife, Ingrid, from the hospital after the failed mission. In the letter, he assures that all is well and even jokes about the situation that led to him receiving that neat and versatile claw arm.
"I know that by now you have gotten news of my injuries in our latest mission. While the descriptions may sound terrible, the doctors are quite sure I'll make a full recovery. Even Angela came to visit me! On the matter of my arm, I promise to make it my first priority to construct a suitable prosthesis that will make everyone forget that it was ever gone. If only Angela's dreams of tissue regeneration were a reality! I told her she should be working harder!" (http://bit.ly/2HK4CWa)
The letter also includes a bunch of other details on the builders family and personal life. To see it in its entirety, the full lore entry is available on the Overwatch blog. Be warned, a tissue box may be needed while reading!
Currently, the "Story Update" that Blizzard released is part of a larger ongoing archive that gives players "secret clearance" to various art, videos, and stories. The company hasn't dedicated a section to the storytelling device as of now. However, with the fascinating tales behind the Heroes coming out rapidly it is expected they'll have a place soon for gamers to view them.
Overwatch is adding another hero to the roster and she goes by the name, Moira. Blizzard also announced a few other new additions to their ultra popular multiplayer game as part of the opening ceremony for BlizzCon 2017. Players can also expect to see a new map that the studio is calling BlizzWorld and draws reference to the studio's other franchises such as World of Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo.
The biggest announcement from the opening ceremony was the addition of Moira. According to Blizzard she's a shady scientist that has ties to the game's evil mercenary group Talon and their operative, Reaper. As a former geneticist for the bad guys, she comes with a very unique set of skills that includes healing beams, teleports, and a variety of other bionic skills. Overwatch's director, Jeff Kaplan, noted that fans want to see more healing based heroes and that's why her abilities focus on aiding teammates but can also do serious damage when necessary.
A Detailed Look At The New Character
Kaplan also described her as a hybrid character, which is not typical for the game. Adding that he couldn't wait to see the character in the hands of the players. He also jokingly described the character as "OP AF" on Overwatch's official website where a detailed description of her specific skills that are outlined below.
Bionic Grasp: Using her left hand, Moira expends biotic energy to heal allies in front of her. Her right hand fires a long-range beam weapon that saps enemies’ health, healing Moira and replenishing her biotic energy.
Bionic Orb: Moira launches a rebounding biotic sphere; she can choose between a regeneration effect that heals the allies it passes through, or a decay effect that deals damage to enemies.
Fade: Moira quickly teleports a short distance.
Coalescence: Moira channels a long-range beam that both heals allies and bypasses barriers to damage her enemies.
Moira seems like a fun new addition to Overwatch's fast growing roster. It is always exciting when Blizzard announces any new content for the game, mainly because everyone knows there won't be a price tag. Moira is sure to hit the PTR soon so be sure to check back with Gigamax for more info on this interesting character!
An update has just released for the Anti-Gravity FPS Hero Based Multiplayer experience, Lawbreakers, and it's a big one. As of now the update for Cliff Bleszinski's new game is available on PS4 and PC. The patch adds a ton of new content, most notably Boss Leagues, a new ranked mode that fans have been anticipating since the game launched.
Even though Boss Leagues is now live, it seems like the first season is a bit of a test. Season 0 is what the studio named this "beta season" and plans on gathering feedback so they can improve future seasons. Currently, there are three game modes in Season 0: Blitzball, Uplink, and Occupy, which don't allow doubling up on roles, much like the ever popular, Overwatch. The studio also made it easier to find players by extending matchmaking parameters.
The new update also includes a brand new map where players can test their skills in Blitzball. It's known as Gateway and is located above the streets of San Francisco. "Gateway, the Blitzball stadium, is a such a marvel, as it floats effortlessly in the sky thanks to Hadronium's anti-gravitational properties," Boss Key says. The studio updated the Redfalls map to contain a Blood Moon that gives the stage an overall creepier vibe, but in terms of gameplay, this new aesthetic does not do much.
Today's update will add a bunch of new content players can unlock through the loot box system. In total there are more than 120 new items to collect. Lastly, the update adds a much-needed tutorial mode which was a confusing misstep when the game first launched. The full patch notes for the game are below and Gigamax will be keeping a close eye on Lawbreakers developments, so be sure to check back for more information!

It's finally here, Destiny 2 launches next week and Bungie has clarified many of the specifics behind their first person shooters release. To kick off the list of big announcements, the developer confirmed when Destiny 2's servers will go live. The game will be officially released at Midnight in countries around the world and for the U.S. that means Midnight EST.
While Destiny 2 may not go live until September 6th, Playstation 4 players can start pre loading the game if they have the game pre purchased (Like the dedicated guardians in the Gigamax crew). Unfortunately, Bungie has yet to state when pre loading on the PC and Xbox One will start but hopefully it will be soon.
The Hype Train Is Here
To further build up the hype, Bungie detailed when Destiny 2's first Nightfall Strike, Raid, and Trials of Osiris will begin. As for the Nightfall Strikes, they will be available from the start of the game but probably won't be completed for at least a week due to their difficult nature. The Raid will kick off at 10 AM PT/ 1 PM ET/ 6 PM BST on September 13th, with Trials of Osiris launching at the same times on September 15th.
Those that don't enjoy spoilers will be happy to hear that Bungie is being super protective of details on the raid so that nothing is ruined by a leak. "If you have witnessed the race to become the first to topple the final boss, you know we keep Raid info well under wraps," Bungie said. "These are your moments to discover--your mysteries to solve. We've given you the when. You will soon discover the who, the what, and the where. Together, as a team, you might even discover the how." (http://bit.ly/2wsXTuq)
The Guided Games feature won't roll out until September 12th at 1 PM ET and Bungie explained it will be a "Soft Beta" which essentially means only certain players will have access to the experience. Guided Games is Destiny 2's new feature that hooks solo players up with clans to help take on some of the more daunting tasks throughout the game. This may help keep people without a solid raid crew interest in the game and lend a helping hand so they can experience what the full game really has to offer.
Well this is it fellow Guardians, the countdown has started and the long awaited sequel to one of the most controversial shooters of all time is almost here. We hope to play with as many fans, friends, and newcomers as possible in the coming weeks so fill your magazines, charge your supers, throw on your freshest gear... AND LET'S GET RAIDING!
The next big gaming press conference, Gamescom, is opening its doors next week and as a preview, EA detailed what plans they have for Star Wars Battlefront 2. To start off, EA will release a brand new trailer and give a live demonstration of the upcoming Starfighter Assault mode. This new variant of combat is a new experience for the sequel after many fans complained that the first game's aerial fights were a bit lackluster.
EA's plans for the new dog fighting mode go far beyond that of the first games. Starfighter Assault itself is a multi stage mode that features ships and characters from the first three Star Wars movies (4,5,6). The demo the development team is showing off will be fought on Fondor: Imperial Shipyard map. EA also detailed that there will be fighters, bombers, and ships that will be unique to certain heroes.
Building It Better From The Ground Up
The gaming studio also wants fans to know that flying will be a better experience overall in Star Wars Battlefront 2. Some of the ways they plan on improving aerial combat include better controls, deeper customization, and making ship selection role based which impacts team gameplay. The gameplay reveal will happen on August 21st at 12:30 PM ET and 9:30 AM PT.
Fondor: Imperial Shipyard will be one of the maps available to players looking to try out the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront 2 beta in October. Dog fighting won't be the only combat featured in the beta, a more standard Battlefront 2 mode will also be playable on the Theed Galactic Assault map.
As for Gamescom, the event runs from August 22-26th in Cologne, Germany. It is by far one of the biggest international game conferences and manages to pull in hundreds of thousands of gamers and industry experts each year. Plenty of news is set to come from this year's event so be sure to keep checking back with Gigamax for all the latest updates!
Major changes are coming to the foundation of Rainbow Six Siege. In a recent blog post published by Ubisoft, they detailed their plan to fix some of the biggest issues fans have had with the game. These changes will all take place over the next three months and will have an impact on the basic structure of the game under the codename 'Operation Health'.
The new updates will focus heavily on technical improvements and bug fixes as they come out over the course of three stages. Operation Health updates will be released first on a public test server. After these changes have been properly reviewed on PC, they will make their way to console. Unfortunately because of these changes Ubisoft decided to cancel the upcoming Poland DLC. The Hong Kong update is also being pushed back to Season 3 in August and November's Season 4 will feature South Korea. While Poland may no longer be a part of Year 2, it's GROM operators will still be released between Season 3 and Season 4. The number of new maps has also been reduced to three and that includes the recent map set in Spain.
Ubisoft wants to keep their promise to fans and keep the community informed on what's coming out and when. They also wanted to let players know that they can aid in this process by testing the updates on the public test server. Ubisoft plans on discussing the upcoming changes at Rainbow Six Pro League, so interested fans can get a more detailed look at the season, this will take place on May 21st. To see a full Q&A that goes over why Ubisoft decided to make this decision check out the full blog post here.
Following a leak from earlier last week, EA officially launched the trailer for Star Wars Battlefront II. In a surprising twist, the story will take place from the perspective of the Empire following the events of Return of the Jedi.
The trailer offers a look at various cinematics throughout the game and shows characters from various eras of the series. Some of these iconic heroes and villains include Rey, Yoda, Kylo Ren, Darth Maul and Luke. This is an attempt to correct one of the major criticisms of the last game, which was that battles only occurred in the original trilogy.
EA followed up the trailer with more details going over their plans for the game at last week's Star Wars Celebration. After the lackluster launch of the previous title, Electronic Arts has taken fan criticism and turned it into a completely new experience for the series that covers both single player and multiplayer.
The Story We All Deserved
The story follows the adventures of an Imperial that goes by the name Iden Versio, a female storm trooper in inferno squad, a special ops group for the empire. After watching the Death Star explode from the ground at the battle of Endor, she swears revenge on the rebels and seeks to keep the Emperor's war raging on. Inferno Squad is made up of an array of different troops like snipers, pilots and commandos capable of completing the toughest of assignments. Iden is a well rounded protagonist, able to switch between any of the roles. This means players will be able to experience all the facets of the game in the story.
EA hasn't forgotten multiplayer though, DICE is building the online component for the upcoming shooter and it's the biggest project they've ever tackled. Capturing moments from every era of Star Wars lore, Battlefront II is a celebration of the series 40th anniversary. DICE plans on making everyone feel like a hero this time around attempting to capture the hero's journey that is prevalent in the movies. From Storm Troopers to Jedi, everyone will have the chance to feel like they're making a difference.
New Systems Coming To Battlefront II
Heroes will now be offered with a new resource system that has yet to be detailed but will allow more people experience these powerful characters. Classes are also making their way back into the game from the old PS2/Xbox era games. These roles are officer, assault, heavy and specialist as well as droids like the Trade Federation's talkative battle droids. Of course everything will be themed for the era it represents, so players won't see an Imperial soldier on the battle of Kamino.
Space battles are also making a return to the game and ships are being treated like character classes. Upgrades can be unlocked through use of these iconic vehicles such as X-Wings, TIE Fighters, Boba Fett's Slave One, Han Solo's Millennium Falcon and Obi Wan's Jedi Star Fighter.
What We Still Don't Know
DICE and EA have yet to announce any multiplayer modes but the larger maps will have support for up to 40 players. Maps will include locations like Theed, Starkiller Base, Takodana, Hoth, Yavin, Tatooine, Endor and Kamino. While the trailer shows clips from within the game, no shots were shown from a first person perspective or of any actual game play so fans still have a lot to look forward to.
It seems as if the studios working on Battlefront II are trying to rectify all the issues people had with the previous entry. Where the first lacked content, the sequel seems to come packed with a wealth of experiences that seek to immerse players in the Star Wars universe. DICE also announced that their will be no season pass for the game and their DLC plan will be detailed shortly. Maybe the studio will learn from popular shooter, Overwatch and support the game through free updates and make money off of loot boxes. Whatever they decide to do, Gigamax Games will be covering all the news and updates regarding the game so don't forget to keep checking back!
