Following speculation and leaks, Epic Games confirmed their monstrous smash hit, Fortnite, will immediately be available on the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo loves their last-minute announcements and Fortnite is no exception. Unfortunately, there was no mention of Nintendo-exclusive skins or content but it wouldn’t be a stretch to imagine a Link or Mario skin making it to the Nintendo version. Fortnite is a fantastic shooter for the hybrid console and having the option to go mobile is a perfect fit for this specific Battle Royale game. As of now, there is no cross-play with PS4 Fortnite players and PS4 gamers can't even transfer over their progress.

Indie Game Publisher Devolver Digital Returns to E3

The indie game publisher behind many beloved titles in the indie genre such as Hotline Miami, Enter the Gungeon, Shadow Warrior, and Broforce, will be making their way back to E3 this year. Devolver Digital announced that the company would host another press briefing at E3 2018 and it sounds about as crazy as most of the games that they produce.

Indie Game Publisher Devolver Digital Returns to E3 2018

Devolver's "Big Fancy Press Conference" as they have taken to calling it, will be broadcast live on Twitch, Sunday, June 10th at 8 PM PT / 11 PM ET. The company claims that the conference will be held in the Dave Lang Memorial Convention Center, which is not an actual venue. The event's description is very strange, but it befits Devolver's love of the weird.

"This year's Big Fancy Press Conference will feature real, actual game reveals and technological innovations from Developer Labs, the research and development arm of Devolver Digital responsible for last year's Earliest Access program and making 'throwing money at the screen' a valid form of payment. There will almost certainly be blood, possibly loss of life." (https://bit.ly/2kcWcMi)

Devolver Digital

Hotline Miami

Devolver Digital said to expect this year's briefing to be a complete "Dumpster Fire." The company added that fans may want to re-watch their insane briefing from last year so that they're completely up to date on what Devolver has called "Devolver Digital Press Conference Universe (DDPCCU) through the blatant reuse of jokes and vague callbacks to the original. Pray for us." (https://bit.ly/2rWA519)

E3 2018 Is Almost Here!

E3 2018 is set to take place between June 12th-14th in Los Angeles, California. Although, the first briefing of the conference will take place on June 9th, with a show from Electronic Arts. The conferences will continue through Tuesday with shows from big names like Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony, and Ubisoft. For a full list of special events and conferences check out the E3 2018 website.

The Gigamax E3 Press Conference 2017 Schedule

The Gigamax E3 Press Conference 2017 Schedule

E3 is right around the corner and the event can be extremely difficult to keep up with if you don't have a proper list of the various press conferences. While E3 may have changed a bit over the past couple of years, it's still the single most important event in the gaming industry.

If you're trying to plan out your E3 viewing before the event comes around, you can use our informative guide to find when all of the biggest conferences are happening. Don't worry if this is your first E3, with a little help you'll see everything you want to!

Saturday June 10th

e3, mass effect, new games, press conference

EA Play - 12pm Pacific, 3pm Eastern, 8pm BST, 9pm CEST

EA is starting E3 off with a bang with its EA Play event. This includes their famous press conference where they are sure to announce a ton of new games. News of Star Wars Battlefront 2 and more EA Sports are sure to take the forefront though. Bioware is also expected to announce a new IP and maybe we'll hear some news on the next Mass Effect!

Sunday June 11th

Xbox / Microsoft – 2pm Pacific, 5pm Eastern, 10pm BST, 11pm CEST

The first big hardware/software developer to take the stage is Microsoft. Expect the Scorpio to be the focus of this press conference. We are pumped to see what this console actually is and if it's truly as powerful as the tech company claims. Hopefully the company shows up with a little more than the new console (maybe some Halo news?) but until then we can only cross our fingers.

e3, morrowind, bethesda, youtube, article, video, gigamax, gigamax games, nj gaming, new jersey gaming

Bethesda – 9pm Pacific, 12am Eastern, 5am GMT

Bethesda held their first E3 press conference last year and knocked it out of the park. This year the developer is coming back to the stage to discuss their plans for 2017/2018. Hopefully we'll hear plenty of new Elder Scrolls new especially with their recent release of the ESO expansion, Morrowind.

Monday June 12th

The PC Gaming Show – 10am Pacific, 1pm Eastern, 6pm GMT

Intel is partnering up with PC gamer to show people what to expect for the best way to experience games. Typically this conference isn't filled with big announcements, but make sure to keep your eye on the event if you're big into PC gaming.

Ubisoft – 1pm Pacific, 4pm Eastern, 9pm BST, 10pm CEST

Another year and another uncomfortable yet informative Ubisoft conference. Ubisoft was late to announce their attendance but we have a good idea on what will be featured. Definitely expect more on Assassin's Creed: Empire, The Crew 2, Far Cry 5, and South Park: The Fractured But Whole.

PlayStation / Sony – 6pm Pacific, 9pm Eastern, 2am BST, 3am CEST

Playstation is sure to impress as they do every year but this time they need to keep up with the Xbox Scorpio announcement. Tons of new IP's are sure to be announced and we're excited to hear more about the new God of War. It may be a bit of a stretch, but any information we can get on the new Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy 7 remake would be amazing. We may be biased but this is always our favorite press conference!

Tuesday June 13th

nintendo, copyright, youtube, article, video, gigamax, gigamax games, nj gaming, new jersey gaming

Nintendo Spotlight: E3 2017 – 9am Pacific, 12pm Eastern, 5pm BST, 6pm CEST

Nintendo is foregoing the typical press conference yet again. This isn't a surprise though as they haven't had a traditional event in years. Nintendo will be holding a unique show called "Nintendo Spotlight" which will be live streamed just like a Nintendo Direct. This year the company is sure to discuss their plans for the Switch and show more gameplay of the upcoming Mario game, Super Mario Odyssey.

Cyberpunk 2077 Aiming For Red Dead Redemption 2 Quality

The developer behind the Witcher, CD Projekt Red, plans to make their next major RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, as detailed and refined as the recently released Red Dead Redemption 2. CD Projekt Red's CEO, Adam Kicinski, revealed during an investor call that the western themed shooter has taught the studio that they have to release amazing titles so that they can earn a "nice fat slice of cake." (https://bit.ly/2KwJzYU)

These comments were a response to an investor's question on what lessons CD Projekt Red took away from Red Dead Redemption 2 that will help them make Cyberpunk 2077 even better, and if the studio believes it can score as high critically as Rockstar's title.

CD Projekt Red Confident in Cyberpunk 2077

"Without a doubt, quality is of paramount importance," Kicinski said. "We strive to publish games which are as refined as Red Dead Redemption 2, and recent Rockstar releases in general. That game is excellent, by the way, we are rooting for it. Rave reviews, excellent sales. What does that teach us? Well, it teaches us that we need to publish extraordinary games, and that's exactly what we are planning." (https://bit.ly/2KwJzYU)

Kicinski has seen a trend in gaming today where people focus on more hit releases and ignore titles that don't necessarily capture their attention. Most people don't have much time to commit to games so CD Projekt Red is dedicated to making Cyberpunk 2077 the best it can be.

Cyberpunk 2077, cd projekt red, cyberpunk 2077 news, video game news, cyberpunk 2077 red dead quality, cyberpunk, cyberpunk 2077 release

"Gamers, it seems, tend to focus more and more on hit releases. There's only so much time one can devote to video games, and while their gaming community is growing, time cannot be stretched," he said. "There is--well, maybe not a surfeit, but a fair deal of good games out there, and playing them consumes a lot of time." (https://bit.ly/2KwJzYU)

"So it pays to be among the best--that's how you get a nice fat slice of cake, businesswise, and the same cannot be said for the lower leagues. In summary, we are rooting for Rockstar and for Red Dead Redemption 2, and we're happy to see that excellent games continue to sell well." (https://bit.ly/2KwJzYU)

Cyberpunk 2077 on the Horizon

Another detail Kicinski revealed during the presentation is what stage of development Cyberpunk 2077 is in. As of now, the team is working on fleshing out the game world and working on making it even more detailed than the gameplay demo that was shown off during E3 2018. Development appears to be on schedule but there is still plenty more to be done before the game is ready for release.

Cyberpunk 2077, cd projekt red, cyberpunk 2077 news, video game news, cyberpunk 2077 red dead quality, cyberpunk, cyberpunk 2077 releasev

"We are filling the world with content and tweaking things, and this involves a great deal of hard work on the part of developers," Kicinski said. "What I can say today is that we're progressing fast and according to plan. When we finish, there's also the hugely important phase of polishing all that game content. There was a question about the quality of the game we plan to deliver at launch and our intention is to deliver something of great quality. Once the game is complete, we can begin to patch various bugs, both major and minor, and we are setting aside time to complete this process." (https://bit.ly/2KwJzYU)

Cyberpunk 2077 gives players control of a mercenary named V who can be augmented with a variety of cybernetic augments that improve his/her skills or give the player more abilities. The game is set in the futuristic locale of Night City and plays in first-person as opposed to Witcher's third person perspective.  This title is sure to make the headlines when it releases so be sure to check back here at GigamaxGames.com for all the latest details.

At E3 2017, Insomniac Games showcased Gameplay to give gamers a true look at how Marvel’s Spider-Man will play and some of the amazing options players will have when it comes to taking out enemies and traversing the immense city.

Spider-Man has his classic youthful demeanor along with the diversity in combat people expect from a superhero with spider powers. There are so many ways to take down any bad-guy that stands in Spider-Man's way. Spidey can use the environment to his advantage, using his webs to throw bricks and smashing thugs with steel girders. The classic cinematic quick-time events brought back nostalgic memories of Spider-Man 2(The Movie Game) but this time with enhanced graphics and uncut modern gameplay.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Showcase Demo - E3 2018

Only 3 months from its release, Insomniac Games showed off even more of Marvel’s Spider-Man.

The classic Spider-Man quips, smooth flowing combat, and the variety of different ways to utilize Spider-Man's powers in combat are all showcased. Fans got to see a few more villains at E3 2018, too. Story and "City That Never Sleeps" DLC

According to the Spider-Man (2018 Video Game) Wiki, claims that the story won’t be tied to existing comic books, video games or movies. This is a new take on the classic hero. However, classic characters like Mary Jane, Aunt Mary, and other characters from the Marvel Universe will all make an appearance. Both the Peter Parker and the Spider-Man character will be examined throughout the game, giving gamers a complete look into the life of the superhero and the person behind the mask.

A graduate from college at this point, Parker has already been a superhero for eight years. He accepted the role as protector of New York City. Then, after a criminal gang starts causing some serious trouble, parkers world is turned upside down. Familiar, unfriendly faces begin to emerge and it’s the job of Spider-Man to restore order. He is tasked with taking down the villains that are hell-bent on causing destruction and spreading evil.

After the initial release, gamers can expect to see a DLC named “City That Never Sleeps”. It includes three chapters that each include additional missions, more characters from the Spider-Man universe, and additional suits for Spider-Man. If people pre-order before September 7th, 2018, they will also get all Pre-Order Bonus Content and a custom physical pin.

Welcome to the World of Spider-Man on ps4

From all the gameplay, cinematics, trailers, and content being shared with the video game community, it doesn’t seem as though Insomniac Games is shy about what lies within Marvel’s Spider-Man. A beautiful world to traverse, slinging webs and taking out criminals, villains and walking in this young superheroes shoes looks as though it’s going to offer gamers a spectacular experience. Only time will tell if Marvel’s Spider-Man will live up to the hype and keep audiences interested.

Devil May Cry 5 Launches in 2019

Devil May Cry 5 Launches in 2019

Devil May Cry 4 came out a decade ago and fans are finally getting a true sequel after 10 long years. Microsoft revealed during their E3 2018 press conference that Devil May Cry 5 will hit consoles and PC in spring of 2019. Along with the big reveal and release date announcement, the company offered fans a look into what the latest iteration of the series is all about.

As shown in the trailer above, Devil May Cry 5 plans on featuring more of the slick and stylish combat system rather than the hack and slash style that comes to mind when thinking about Devil May Cry. The director of the game, Hideaki Itsuno, walked on stage to speak about Capcom's efforts to improve both the combat and controls of the beloved series. All of the game's development is being handled internally at Capcom and as the trailer showed, Nero will be making his way back into the game with his trusty sword, Red Queen from Devil May Cry 4.

Get Ready To Be Impressed

Capcom also stated that the studio is working around the clock to create world-class visuals that are sure to impress both long-time fans and newcomers alike. Itsuno also pointed out that Devil May Cry 5 is a true sequel to the last numbered game in the series and is the best action experience Capcom has developed yet.

In a press release that came out after the press conference, Capcom revealed more details on the upcoming action game. "A brand-new entry in the legendary over-the-top action series comes to Xbox One in spring 2019, complete with its signature blend of high-octane stylized action and otherworldly and original characters the series is known for. Years have passed since the legions of hell have set foot in this world, but now a new demonic invasion has begun, and humanity’s last hope will rest in the hands of three lone demon hunters, each offering a radically different play style. United by fate and a thirst for vengeance, these demon hunters will have to face their demons if they hope to survive. The devil you know returns in the most over the top, technically advanced, utterly insane action experience of this generation." (https://bit.ly/2sYj72R)

Kingdom Hearts 3 Release Date Finally Set

Kingdom Hearts 3 Release Date Announced

After over a decade of anticipation, Square Enix finally set a release date for the long-awaited game, Kingdom Hearts 3. This title will mark the conclusion to the main trilogy that follows the adventures of Sora, Donald, and Goofy through Disney themed worlds with a splash of Final Fantasy thrown in for good measure.

The third game has big plans to expand the scope of the universe and prove that they still have what it takes to blend eastern and western characters. Kingdom Hearts 3 will release on both the Xbox One and PS4 on January 29th, 2019. Immediately following the announcement, Square Enix revealed a new trailer for the game during Microsoft's E3 press conference.

The World is Stunned

Many were shocked at the sudden nature of this announcement, with the official Kingdom Hearts Twitter account revealing the release date with no build up or celebration on the first day of E3 2018. While fans of the series are aware that Kingdom Hearts 3 has been in development for years, series creator Tetsuya Nomura said at last year's D23 event that the game's release date was planned for 2018. During a fan event for the game in May, he had announced that a final release date for the game would be made public very soon.

Fans can still expect to visit Disney themed worlds throughout their journey to save the universe from being consumed by darkness. Although, this time around Pixar is making their debut in the beloved series. As of now, Square Enix confirmed that Frozen, Tangled, Big Hero Six, Hercules, Toy Story, and Monsters Inc. levels are all present in Kingdom Hearts 3.

Keep Those Fingers Crossed

Hopefully, this will actually be the final release date for the game. With the amount of gameplay and details the developer has revealed, people have high hopes it will happy. Everyone at Gigamax Games is big fans of the Kingdom Hearts series and plenty of coverage for the game is on its way as the release date draws closer.
